My son and I usually bike along a path near a beaver dam, and we usually chat about the new trees it has chomped down. I purchased this book to help him with his curiosity. Some neat facts in the book like beavers being able to stay under water for 15 minutes, that beavers sometimes share their lodges with turtles and otters, they have webbed feet, and their teeth never stop growing (which is why they have to keep chomping down trees). Beavers also help keep water clean! My son brought home a beaver chomped branch the other day, and talks about them a lot. Great reader for kids interested in beavers!
