I'm sure you've read several other reviews, so I'll keep my A5x review short. ( 1/9/24 update- Sorry, over time this review has gotten much longer- this was not my intension, but this little light is now an old friend EDC for me and I'd surely miss it if it were lost or it died)PROS;-Tiny.-Stupid bright.-Intelligent UI let's you go directly to any of the 4 modes.-Instant access to 650 lumens with momentary switch.-Side light has low, high and strobe and lights up whole room.-Good 330mAh battery life.-Rechargeable via micro USB.-Tough polycarbonate shell that glows green in the dark.-Can easily be clipped to hat .-Available on Amazon for easy return.-Good RovyVon customer service.-2 year warranty.-Output automatically steps down from 650 to130 and 400 to 90 lumens after 100 seconds when on Hi or Med as overheat protection.CONS;-Price is a bit high.-Not waterproof.-Switch is difficult to locate- you cannot easily feel it. Needs to protrude or have more texture!-Gets very hot if 650 lumens is on long.-No warranty registration on RovyVon site.-Per RovyVon, unit is only expected to last 3-4 years if battery is maintained.-USB plug is a bit difficult to connect.-Pocket clip does not attach super tightly (see pics 5 and 6).-USB seal/cover is sorta loose fit and no better than 1st version (see pics 3 and 4).-UV light is ONLY for supercharging the glow-in-dark shell. Should be more powerful and useful.-Glow-in-dark shell doesn't stay illuminated long, like when I was a kid, glow-in-dark toys glowed for hours.-Unit could easily become lost due to tiny size and loose fitting pocket clip.UPDATE 9/24/21- A5x still going strong. I use it every day. I often hold it in my mouth when doing close-up work. I also clip it to the brim of my hat when I walk our pet every night. Battery output still solid. I charge it once a week. Only once during a long project did the auto protect kick in and keep it from lighting. It's been a GREAT tiny flashlight. When it dies, I will most definitely get another (unless of course there's a smaller more powerful light with better battery available). I'll keep ya posted!UPDATE 10/23/2021- Less than 1 year from purchase, the A5x started acting weird tonight. It keeps turning on all by itself intermittently. It won't cycle through any of its features and it won't easily shut off. It seems to be having a logic problem. I emailed RovyVon for replacement. I'll keep you posted to the outcome. OUTCOME: Rovy Von sent me a new one free of charge, so now I have 2.UPDATE 4/10/23- Oddly, my malfunctioning A5x from my previous update started working perfectly again on its own and has been in my pocket ever since. As stated, I now have two A5xs. The old one in my pocket is still used daily and performs great with some exceptions- I'll explain in a sec... The new "replacement A5" is kept on my nightstand and is used infrequently. It works great. SO, the one problem I've had with my older A5 is that the switch has fallen out several times. It consists of the silicone button that you touch with your finger which is form-fitted around a metal button that has a post. This post is what actually connects the silicone button to the actual inner button mounted on the circuit board. Originally when the button fell out the first time, I found it, but without the post, so I had to make one. I superglued it all together and popped it back in and it has worked fine ever since, but has fallen out a few times in my pocket. Due to this, I now have superglued the switch in around the edges and it has not fallen out since then. I glued it in really well so hopefully it won't fall out again. The switch design is really bizarre because it actually is just a form-fit piece of rubber and it's not really held in to the body of the flashlight with more than just friction. Be aware of this. If I were to get a brand new A5, I would immediately superglue the switch in. If you accidentally do lose the switch, the flashlight will be rendered useless as I stated, the real switch is deep inside the body on the circuit board. Hope this helps.UPDATE 1/9/24- So, my original A5x is still in my pocket daily and is working with maybe 80% battery life remaining. During long use on the 3rd brightest light output setting, the battery will quit after 30 mins or so. Also, since my previous update, the usb silicone cover managed to pop out a few times. I was lucky to find it and painstakinly reinstalled it. It wasn't a simple fix. The on/off switch has not fallen out and has been reliable, but I get the feeling it's days are numbered. This Rovy Von A5x has been a trusted friend for years now.

You will see this from the other end of a tunnel for certain. Efficient, easy to operate one you remember the button combinations, and very useful. UV, eh I should have went red LED but Oh well, it still has uses. Quite bright to light up more than just a room when on maximum output. It illuminated a 30yrs driveway and all of the surroundings quite well after dark. You'd think I have a much larger flashlight. It limited by the chip how long it will put out max and med to avoid overheating of the LED which does get hot. the tip will become quire warm so don't use max then have your girl put it in her pocket right away. Only negative is that the battery is not replaceable from what I can tell. So after a couple of years (?) the super mini torch will be less useful? time will tell. Body doesn't hold its glow for long but I have not timed it yet. Great for keychains, backup fishing, camping, hiking, biking light, even security. Just wish the cell was replaceable. Maybe RavyVon will have an upgrade or exchange program in the future for older lights *Hint, Hint*. I now have 2, an A1x, and this A5x.

Very bright for the size. I live in PR, and have quite a few blackouts this time of year. Having this little guy in my pockets at all times is a life saver.The main light is quite bright. I thought the manufacturer was overestimating, but it really is crazy bright considering it’s the size of a AA battery. It is overall brighter than a big 18600 light that I have, but with a shorter throw. I haven’t tested the overall battery life yet, as I only use it for 5-10 minutes at a time as needed. So far, so good. The light also feel pretty durable. The charging flap and rubber button cover need a little bit of care, but as long as you don’t ham-fist it, they should last a long time.The other awesome feature is that it also acts as a tiny lantern with the LEDs on the side, but with decent brightness. More than adequate to light up a 2-3 person tent on the brightest setting. Lower setting would be perfect for reading or illuminating a smaller tent.The features each require different button-clicks: click and hold for brightest setting (which turns off when you let go), double click to use the flashlight and triple click for lantern mode. Once on, a long press turns it back off, or short click to change brightness.Overall I am very happy with the light a couple weeks in. Will update if it fails.

Great little lights! Battery lasts ages and they weigh nothing.

Love the concept of light the UV light on Is very bright I love the lantern mode and this company really cares about their customers definitely will be buying more

Pros:Amazing brightness, levels and options for such a small little light.Cons:The clip is useless, pops off easily. (It is not a critical item for me, but would be nice if it worked for clipping onto a hat.)A bit pricey, however given what it's packing, may be justifiable.Usage story:The light turns on at it's brightest max level, which is extremely bright. This is a plus if you're using it in the woods, like searching for critters in the plants and trees on a Costa Rican jungle night tour. Or for self defense/deterrent, when you want to temporarily blind someone to buy yourself a precious few seconds to enact your next step.The light does get very hot after some time when using it in it's max brightness setting. This is a known issue with most flashlights that have a max boost type mode. I don't know how it compares to what the norm should be. However, in the other modes it doesn't present the same issue.

Great, little keychain light. Love that it has both the very bright end light and the two side lights. The glow in the dark body helps if you drop it but haven't every seen the glow in the dark feature give off enough light to not need the flashlight on. Solid body to it and small enough to be in your pocket or on your keys and not bother you all day.

Très lumineuse petite torche pratique, aimanté, un peu cher par rapport à la concurrence, mais opérationnel quant à ses fonctions un éclairage d'ambiance c'est parfait pour un edc et plus si affinités.

Edit : Top Notch Customer Service made sure things were corrected, looking forward to seeing this flashlight perform!This flashlight seems to be built well and packs a bunch of cool features but I tried to charge it right from the box and got nothing. No charge indicator was shown and did not take a charge whatsoever. I tried other cables and chargers but got nothing. This will probably be thrown out unfortunately, I had high hopes for this little guy.

A brilliant keychain light. Excellent light options in a small package.

This little flashlight is really good… very bright numerous fictional features that are actually useful. It’s great for backpacking or camping you have a flashlight and a little lantern in one not super bright for a lantern but illuminates a small area enough for chillin out at camp. Don’t hesitate you won’t regret it it’s not super expensive but it’s super good as corny as that sounds it’s true.
