Edmunds Craft Stand, Other, 6111

I bought this stand to replace an old, non-adjustable floor stand that I had bought many years ago. It took me a while to assemble this new stand because I didn’t think the instructions were that clear and I kept getting splinters from the wood! Although the wood is chunky and hence the stand is quite sturdy, I’ve noticed that the bottom support bars, do not appear to sit flat on the carpet. I’m sure this can easily be sorted, however, I think I might need to weigh the support bars down when I actually use the frame for sewing, which I haven’t done yet. The support legs tuck under my couch, and the stand can easily be angled to a nice height so that I will be able to sit comfortably with my work directly in front of me. The only cons that I can see so far, without actually using it, are: some of the wood was quite rough (hence the splinters) and I ended up sanding down most of the wooden pieces. Although there are three plastic wing nuts included in this kit; it would have been nice if all the wing nuts were plastic. The metal ones hurt your fingers after a while and the plastic ones are larger and nicer on your fingers.

Reasonable quality product that meets my specific needs for an Embroidery Work-Frame. Item is well designed and as a 'self assembly product' is is relatively easy to assemble. Given the sales cost it is good value for money.I have had this product for approximately two months and have a no problems with the 5 or 6 Embroidery Designs that I have completed. One area which could be improved is the overall height and reach of the item, as I like to operate the item with my feet in a 'recline mode on a sofa'. It just about does this, but it is a stretch and I need a good sized cushion behind my back in order to comfortably use the product.

I like this stand, it is made of strong wood and fitted together easily. The one slight issue is that my small sewing frame is really too fat for the notch and therefore moves around a bit.

After years of doing tapestry work I've finally found this great stand. Easy to assemble and so comfortable to use. The angle you are working at can be changed easily just by loosening the wing nuts. Absolutely brilliant and very please with this

Not the cheapest on the market but then I believe you get what you pay for. Well made and very sturdy. Bought this for my wife to do cross stitch on. Adjustable to accommodate various sizes.

Superb!I bought this after reading the reviews and am quite a picky customer! I just wanted to say that it is reall, really good. Easy to assemble and works just fine - when using it.I put it together last night and it only took me 45 minutes, which is great because I'm not brilliant at assembling items.I would definately recommend.

quite tricky to get used to a bit unstable and you cannot twist to reach the back - have to flip up which is a pain not used much for this reason only any good if you're doing large areas in the same colour

It has made my cross stitching much easier to manage as the current one is quite large. Consequently it is a lot more enjoyable - the stand is easy to manoeuvre and I can bring it right over my lap when sewing.My husband had it built in a few moments.

I like that it holds at a convenient height. It is sturdy and stands on its own. The legs can go under the couch or chair easily so I can pull the project right up to me. The only problem is that I can't easily get to the back of the project for 'tying off'. I had another frame years ago that could easily spin to tie off but it got lost in one of my many moves. I am suffering with this one till I can figure out how to fix it to my liking.

Vraiment satisfaite de ce support. Un peu cher pour le produit, mais il est vraiment bien. La pince tient vraiment bien le projet en place et le support est vraiment stable. Il est parfait pour ceux qui veulent travailler assis sur une chaise ou divan et avoir leur travail directement devant eux ( support placé par terre). Le support reste vraiment bien en place et ne bouge pas. Bref, je le recommande sans aucun doute.

Awesome product! The stand can be put in different positions or heights. Need it to hang further out? No problem! Just unscrew, move, and tighten!This is my first time buying a stand. I kept getting hand cramps from the rings or there were times i needed to use both hands, but had to place my work down to do it. Of course, thats me whining and not a big deal to most im sure, but when i do my counted cross stitch projects......😩 id always lose my spot!! I also got a stamped cross stitch kit and the pictures going to be a 19x36 image! So i needed a stand cause theres a TON kf fabric to handle (thank you scrolls!) While searching.. I found this one. I wasnt sure because of the price. I didnt want to buy a cheap product when everything else was like 60-90 bucks! I went ahead with the purchase based off of what other folks said and im glad i did. The box came well packaged, all the pieces present, and picture/walkthrough directions to put it together. Now.. main reason i didnt give 5 stars in the "Easy to Use" section, was the building demand. Theres a lot of pieces! On the instructions, there is a printed ruler to measure the bolts. Use it! Make sure youre using the right bolt for the right hole, the right knob, the right piece of wood, etc. I say this only because i messed up building it, haha! The hardest part i think was putting in the 2 screws at the bottom of the stand. This is the only part where a phillips screwdriver is needed. Everything else is bolt/washer combo which is done by hand. Anyway, concerning the screws... Be gentle (just a firm push) and be patient. If you try to rush, youll end up stripping the screw. Make sure you have a large enough screwdriver and it shouldnt slip. So.. hooray! I finished building it! I super tightened everything and it doesnt wobble. Its real wood which i like and not particle or anything. I think its sturdy for the purpose i need it. Some past reviews said it was crooked or wobbly or cheap... i just dont think they put it together right and need to try again before slamming it. Now am i going to lay on it? No.. itll break cause it's not meant to hold my weight 🙄 Anyways.. i attached a picture of me sitting on the couch with the stand at about breast level. The great thing about this stand is its flexibility! Thats a low couch im sitting on, if i go to a recliner, a kitchen chair, (or maybe stand? 🤔 whatever floats your boat I reckon), regardless of where you sit, all you have to do is loosen the knobs, move each section to where its most comfortable to you, and tighten it back. Easy as that! I attached both my embroidery work (my first time, wish me luck!) as well as my scroll. Honestly i dont even know if i did the scroll right, but either way it fits in the clamp. The instructions say to wrap a rubber band around the clamp, this keeps the scroll from slipping apparently but i havent tried it. Also.. from the picture, you can see the clamp grips the fabric. If you dont want this.. just use batting or fabric to protect it. Whatever makes you happy! My last picture is how small it gets! 😁👍 to match my low couch, i needed low end tables. So these are NOT normal or typical end tables and the stand STILL fits under the table! If you dont need the stand, it can easily be tucked away! Besides the pieces and having to use muscle to get the 2 screws put in correctly, this has become an exceptional (and essential) addition to my needlework pasttime! The price is perfect, the stand is convenient snd flexible to suit your needs! I do not know how I functioned without this stand. I do pearl and metal thread embroidery in medieval Russian style, on stretch frames. When I use a smaller frame, I can just sort of prop it up in my lap. But this project required a large, unwieldy frame, and the stand is very convenient. It assembled easily, though did require me to use a hammer once because some holes were not perfectly aligned. It is sturdy enough, and holds my embroidery as I need it to. You can flip it up to tie off threads on the back easily, and can use it at weird angles if needed.
