Very nice trailer
It took me one leisurely day to assemble this trailer. It looks really good and it makes loading and unloading kayaks a breeze. Beats the heck out of hoisting kayaks up on the roof of our Jeep. The directions were very good and easy to follow. Another great thing about this trailer is that you are always ready to hook up and go at a moments notice when you get the chance. The folks at Malone were quick, efficient and friendly when I called to get the needed documents to title and license the trailer. The man I talked to asked me if I had assembled the trailer yet, and did I have any problems, and then offered to assist me in any way needed. No help was needed but I appreciated his interest. The only suggestion I have is that the light kit that comes with the trailer only had four clips to secure the wiring in the frame channels. I could have used two more, for a total of six. Also the license plate holder in the light kit is made of plastic. I was afraid that the plastic might eventually fatigue and crack from age and vibration, and then I might lose the license plate, so I replaced it with a metal license plate bracket that I picked up at an auto parts store.I think this is a really sharp looking trailer that will give me many years of service and then bring a good price at my estate auction when I am dead. Well worth the price in my opinion.P.S. I have taken four trips to current river since I bought this trailer, (about 300 miles one way), carrying an Old Town Predator MX (a fairly heavy Kayak), and an Old Town Cameron 120. The trailer trails nicely even at 70 mph interstate speeds, as well as rough back country roads. Even with the Kayaks loaded, the tongue weight is light, so I have found that a trailer dolly is not even needed. It is quick and easy to hook up and unhook. This makes it easy to park the trailer beside our car in parking lots, such as at a Motel. The trailer has attracted much interest and many compliments from people we meet on our trips.

Perfect
I took five hours to follow the excellent instructions and assemble this trailer yesterday. Used it today with my trident 15 and it has cut the work of handling a 16' kayak with the rudder by 75% or more. It tows behind my suv like it wasn't there and has cut the work incredibly. I was astonished at how substantial this trailer is for the price and there was not one missing bolt or nut nor were the electrics too short or anything else. it tracks straight as an arrow and when the box arrives today will be perfect. Best instructions I've ever seen for an assembly and they said on the phone they were mailing the MCO yesterday so I can license it instead of using an old, illegal for this vehicle license. I couldn't wait!Have now used it extensively and it is one of the best deals for the money I've ever done. the only thing I have done is replaced the "bulb" tail light fixtures with LED submersible ones which are sealed and will not have the problems bulbs with filaments have...bought them at Advance Auto and took fifteen minutes to change.I have a Yakima fork lock bicycle rack for my big Trek hybrid bike for a trip to Maine that fits as well and even with my big, wide OK Trident 15 sot kayak I can put two more on for shuttling with the extra cam straps and blankets and foam blocks I once used for the suv top. It is fantastic. I tie an extra strap to the nose and another to the hand hold to keep the kayak from sliding forward through the Malone seawing saddles though it never has. At 70 mph the SUV doesn't even know it's there. The tires on mine take 60 psi and if you load it up they told me on the phone to put 90 fully loaded. I bought the plastic box for storage and a lock to keep honest people out of that as well. It has made the work of dealing twice a week with a long kayak absolutely nothing. If there is a boat ramp to take the kayak out I just back the trailer in a bit, put the nose on the back wing saddle and just pull the wet, slick poly kayak up onto the two saddles with straps already on and tighten one, drive to the parking lot and at waist level finish up.Can you tell I think it's terrific?

Recalled day after built.
I received a recall for my trailer axel the day after I built it for our July 4th weekend paddle trip (which won’t happen now). I called the number on the recall notice and there wasn’t even a inbox to leave a message.Malone had a good reputation. I will warn the paddling community about using Malone products.

Fabulous trailer!
Great trailer. Have had it for over a year. It was easy to assemble and it's so much better getting the kayaks to the water than from the roof of an SUV. It's light enough to push around with the kayaks on it. We put some hooks on it for strapping the kayaks down....everyone asks us where we got it.
