this is so easy to use and takes up a lot less space than a colunder all my pans and cooking accesories all fit in one cupboard now

Who needs a collander when you have this. Really great, just got to get use to how to hold it to the pans. Pours the water out easily and leaves the food in the pan - love it.I did also buy the tefal collander (the one that goes in the pan... But I use this more)Love it.

Works well

We cook a lot of pasta, noodles or boil foods in the pan which this lid is for.And yes, you can use the lid that Tefal supplied to do this same job if you get the angle and positioning right.However this makes it much safer and easier, for one you dont have to hold your hand in the middle of the lid and risk scalding from the hot steam as it rises since your hand will be off centre of the lid.It allows you to wantonly pour the water out without having to watch and gauge as you would with the original lid.It also allows for more controlled pours, especially if you want to the save the water (ie reboiling something else to save energy).If you need it, i would defiantly recommend it, but its not an essential item.

We are really pleased with these pans. Nicely made and very functional. I can’t comment on the quality of the non stick pans as we use them the least.

I have found this effective for straining. It just fits over the pan so will take any size pan. Handle nice and chunky so you don't feel that it will slip out of your hands while straining and, like all of the lids in this excellent set - it folds down flat for storage.

Brilliant, brilliant saucepans ! Absolutely love them. They are so easy to use and manoeuvre with the removable handles, no problem at all between hob and oven. I just hope that the nonstick lining last as this normally wears our so quickly.

These are a present, to go with the saucepans I bought, received very warmly, good value.

Couvercle très pratique avec sa poignée qui s'applatit pour le rangement facile. Pratique pour égoutter l'eau de la casserole. De tres bonne facture, devrait durer dans le temps je pense.

J'utilise ce couvercle chaque jour pour la cuisson, du riz, des pâtes, des lentilles, etc...L'eau monte plus vite en température, mais surtout c'est idéal pour égoutter les aliments après cuisson.Il faut le maintenir fermement et éviter de se brûler avec la vapeur, mais quel gain de place et de vaisselle par rapport à un énorme égouttoir !
