Skeptical at first—happy after arrival.
Up until this point, I’ve only bought my wallets from either Bellroy or Coach. Never have I bought anything from Bosca before—let alone heard of them—and I was somewhat skeptical of their brand at first. But after getting my hands on it, I can easily say that it lives up to my expectations and is absolutely a quality wallet.•Right out of the box, I am very pleased with the feel of the leather itself. It’s not annoyingly stiff or grippy but is rather firm and has an almost plastic slickness to it with a subtle soft squishiness that I personally enjoy greatly.•In terms of size, it’s very thin and even with all of my cards, cash and other such things stuffed inside, it maintains a slim profile. Even in my skinny jeans does it fit perfectly. No annoying tugging or pushing when taking it out or putting it in.•The reptile-like pattern to it is something I’m not the biggest fan of but definitely adds to the “luxurious” look.•Although I initially thought I wasn’t going to like it, I actually really enjoy the green color as it looks much darker in person and almost appears to be grey in certain conditions.•Panels and stitching are nothing short of perfect. Sharp, clean cuts with no imperfections to be seen.•Traditional 8 card slot, dual inner pocket design but the split bill area is something new to me personally.Overall: while I haven’t used it for more than about 2 weeks now, it absolutely feels like a quality wallet from a reputable brand. As I’ve said previously, this has been my first Bosca branded wallet so I’m hoping it holds up in the long run.

Attractive traditional wallet
I have a special fondness for Bosca as I've been using a Bosca minimalist weekend wallet for over 15 years and the durability has been ridiculously phenomenal especially in this age of mass-produced, disposable construction. I can't speak to the durability of this particular bifold wallet but I do trust the Bosca brand based on my experience.-Out of the box, the build quality is excellent. Every panel and stitch looks perfect.-The design is straightforward and traditional. You get 8 card pockets, a split bill area and 2 inner pockets. Nothing fancy like zippers or anything.-I have the nut color which is an attractive light brown. I like the lighter color which is easier to spot in dark places.-The feel of leather is fine but nothing special. It almost has a slick, plastic feel. It's not thick and supple like some other leathers. For a wallet that you are taking in and out of pants all the time, a thinner, slicker leather like this one may actually be preferable anyway.-It's a very thin wallet. The leather and lining don't take up much thickness.

Very good
I usually don't like bifold wallets - I prefer a slim cardholder with a small pouch for a little cash - but if you don't mind a bit more bulk you might really like this. The external leather is pebbled and looks and feels very nice, but it's the leather on the inside that really impresses me. It's thin, of course, as this is supposed to be relatively slimline, but unlike the exterior it's smooth and clearly of excellent quality. The whole wallet feels extremely well made. The stitching is flawless, and the construction feels as if the leather won't become 'baggy' and stretched even after years of use. It's too soon to tell, of course, but this seems like the kind of thing that will develop a wonderful patina with use. There are just two things I don't love. The first is the seal at the edges of the external leather. It's edged in black, and I don't love the look. The second is that the packaging isn't designed to stand up to rough treatment through the mail. The wallet comes sealed in a protective plastic bag inside a thin and not very sturdy cardboard box, and the box was pretty dinged up by the time it reached me. It's not a bad choice for the environment, of course, but it could be an issue if this is intended as a gift.

Color is slightly more dark brown than it appears in the pictures, but not unpleasantly so
Wallet is made of a nice quality leather, and has a nice texture. The wallet does not feel cheaply made, and feels like this leather will age well. The color is slightly more dark brown than it appears in the pictures, but not unpleasantly so. It can hold many cards, without any stretching or loosening of the structure of the wallet. The wallet has two separate areas for bills if you carry lots of cash, and although the wallet itself is fairly slim, if all card slots are filled and a handful of cash is held, the wallet may become slightly bulky. I personally enjoy the lack of ID window, and instead opt for a few more card slots.
