Good doodling family fun
We love a good drawing game in our house especially if it's a game that younger family members can also easily play. Doodle Mayhem is a nice, easy game to play, with no tedious, lengthy instructions to read. Within a few minutes you'll be picking up pencils and drawing. The game works on speed and a points system - more points can be potentially awarded to those that can finish their doodle the fastest. However, you'll only be guaranteed those points if your doodle is any good and team mates can identify it. If you've rushed your way through a really naff sketch, then chances are your team mates won't guess the doodle and you'll all lose those points! It's quite a clever bit of gameplay as it allows younger players, who'll most likely finish their sketches last (potentially earning less points), the chance to outshine the faster adults with a better quality sketch - hence more chance their doodle being guessed and actually gaining the points. Gameplay doesn't last long, around half an hour, and finishes when the first person gets to 20 points. The game is aimed at 8 and over - my 7 year old daughter played yesterday with no problems. I think that if younger members can easily read the cards then they should be okay to play. We sifted through the cards to find some easier to doodle words for my daughter and popped a pile to one side especially for her, to give her a little advantage. It's a great game for families and indeed for parties - it's always good fun having a laugh at some really bad drawings! It's definitely become one of our new favourite family games and I highly recommend if you're looking for a game that provides some quick doodling family fun.

A simple yet fun drawing game
This doodling game came well presented with a huge assortment of drawing prompts, it’ll be a really long time before we work our way through all of them!Included in the box is instructions, two timers, 6 pencils and 6 paper pads, score sheets, an eraser, points cards and the prompt cardsGameplay is simple and easy to learn. You start by picking a category, for example, picking avocado means you can only draw what is next to the avocado on the card. Then you draw as quickly as you can, picking up a point card when you’ve finished. If you finished drawing first you take the number 1 card which is worth 4 pointsTeams then get 30 seconds to guess the drawings. If guessed correctly, everyone on the team gets the points from whatever card you have. If guessed incorrectly, the points are taken away from everyone. This makes the game a lot of fun, as the faster you draw the more chance of getting a higher scoring card, but also there’s a higher chance of drawing something people struggle to guess! Whoever gets to 20 points first wins the gameOverall, it’s a really fun game that’s quick to learn and perfect for all ages

Win, Lose, Or Draw
We have a doodling game on the Xbox and 'Doodle Mayhem' is very similar, but far more manic. The idea is to work in teams to guess what a team mate is doodling. The first team to guess right gets more points. First team to 20 wins. The game has the right name as there is mayhem when you are drawing at the same time and guessing different things in the room.It is a game that works best with at least 6 players, and I think even 12 may be the best. This allows for more drawing, guessing and chaos. It would work perfectly as an ice breaker on a games night or after a few Christmas drinks. The game as pencils, pads and suggestions to draw. It packs away well and is not the largest game so does not take up too much space.

Great for family game night!
We are a family that play a lot of board games, and having yet another game to add in to the rotation is never a bad thing. The more off-screen time we have, the better! This doodling/drawing game is a lot of fun and was appreciated both by us parents and our son (age 10) The game is basically you trying to draw (more like doodle since it's timed) as fast as possible whilst the others need to figure out what the doodle is supposed to be. It's stressful, which adds to even funnier images in the end hehe. Not the type of game you will sit and play time after time during the same night but absolutely a great game to have to swap out with when monopoly has gotten everyone in a sour mood, this will surely make you smile again.Highly recommend!

Simple enough for many ages, but a little pricey maybe
It's a pretty good game, really simple to understand and play with many different ages (both adults and children have played it in our house so far). It's well packaged and presented and definitely kills some time. A decent one for the games cupboard! I do however think it's a little expensive however... £20 at the time of writing and I do think that's too high for what it is.

Great game for party nights
This is a simple enough game, but lots of fun - it means that a wide age range can play, and there's no frustration involved as there can be with some games involving differing skill levels. This is a free for all drawing frenzy with lots of laughter included as you try to guess each other's doodles, and although it involves counting points, you'll be having too much fun to care who wins or loses! Great for kids to play, but great for grown up nights out too, especially after a few drinks. It's a little on the expensive side at £20, but it's really good fun.

Fun for all ages
Great fun game that we’ve played as a family of 4 and with friends. Recommends up to 6 players but easy to adapt and fun to play in small teams.Everything is included, including game cards, sand timers, score sheets, pencils and an eraser. We actually used a white board so everyone could see easier.Even my 7 year old could play this and she thoroughly enjoyed both the drawing and guessing. You need to sketch quickly which is the beauty of the game. Some of the sketches were hilarious.Would highly recommend - A fun, simple game for everyone!

Quick to learn, fun to play
I hate drawing games but after trying this at a board game coffee shop I had to buy it. It’s the perfect quick family game or warm up for a game night. The switching up of teams is perfect because it balances out bad drawing. Kids love it (8+), grandparents love it, fun all around.

Very fun family game that had us all laughing
We are big game fans and, when we go to see family for holidays, we always bring at least 10 easy to learn or party games. I ordered this knowing we would be coming down to see the (adult) kids for the year end holidays. The game did not disappoint! The box contains a box of pencils, a pad of scoresheets, 2 drawing pads, 6 scoring cards, 2 timers, and eraser and 120 cards that each have items listed on them (5 categories on each card). You start off choosing which category you want and that is the only category used during the entire game.Unlike other drawing games we have played, everyone has their own cards. All players start drawing at the same time and, when you finish your drawing, you grab the highest score card remaining. Once the 2nd to last score card is taken, the last player has to stop drawing and then you split into 2 teams. This is a very different set up as teams aren't chosen beforehand, but AFTER everyone is done and is based on what score card you grabbed. We played with 5 players and the person who picked 1st and 4th cards were one team and 2,3 and 5 were on the other. This is the only downside to the game (but not a huge downside....more on this later). Each team member now has to show their drawing to the other members and they have to guess. Once they do, the next team member does the same and so on. Each team has 30 seconds. Any picture that isn't guessed is shown to the other team who has one chance to guess and, if correct, they get a bonus point. The other team now does the same thing.I mentioned a downside and it comes when you are scoring each teams points. Each scoring card has a point value on it. Any correct guesses award the points listed. Any incorrect guesses are subtracted from the teams total. Since teams are changing each round, it can be a bit confusing when trying to score. It's not hard to add/subtract, you just have to make sure you are adding the points to the correct team member though. Thankfully, the game includes an eraser since we had to make a few corrections along the way. I do think that this is a unique team mechanism since it's not like some other games where, if one team is really good at drawing and/or guessing, and the other isn't, no one gets frustrated while playing. The games play to 20 points, which goes relatively fast (I think the most we got through was 8 in one game) so it is good for keeping kids interested since there really is no down time.We had a LOT of fun, we were laughing almost the entire time looking at some of the "artwork" and trying to guess or watching the other team trying to guess theirs. The kids asked to play it 3 more times after the first game! If you are looking for a quick filler game on game night, or if you are playing with non-gamer family/friends, this is a great choice.

Fun game!
This is an enjoyable game that is fun to play with the family. It's fast paced and sometimes kind of silly. The suggested age is 8+, but I think as long as a child can read and draw, 8 is not a hard limit. My 4 year old could understand how to play in general.
