I became acquainted with this delicious sauce through a lovely elderly lady I call Mama Maria, who became part of my family through my cousin's marriage into a Peruvian family. Mama Maria made the most delicious Papas a la Huancaina! And I was hooked... Making the sauce from scratch was too daunting a process for me, so I thought I wouldn't experience that delicious dish again when Mama Maria passed away. Then, I found Alacena Salsa Huancaina on Amazon, so I thought "why not? won't know unless I try it..." I received the package yesterday, and went straight to making my beloved Papas a la Huancaina. I tell you this: Mama Maria would approve! This Salsa Huancaina has all the delicious flavors that I remember from Mama Maria's sauce, which she made from scratch. as I assembled the dish (and tried very hard not to drool while I was working) I thought of all the wonderful memories I treasure. And when my hubby and I enjoyed our Papas a la Huancaina, we honored the memory of that lovely lady that brought so much love and joy through her cooking. I highly recommend this delicious sauce! The seller delivered in a reasonable manner and with care, so the product got to me in excellent condition. No question about it: I will purchase this product again from this seller.

This product is TASTELESS, and of low quality. We were so disappointed! This product DOES NOT CONTAIN WHAT IT CLAIMS TO - HUANCAINA SAUCE! PRETTY BAD. I would like credit back for this if I cannot return it! Thanks!

Salsa Huancaina has so many uses, particularly in sandwiches. I was so pleased to be able to have it delivered to me whilst in Boston.
