not to expect a dazzling glitter finish
I bought this after reading rave reviews. I have to say I think some of the reviews are fake. I am an experienced decorator and do everything as per the book so to speak. I wanted to create a subtle glimmer in the alcove wall of my bedroom where the bed goes and has spotlights (I thought that these would enhance the glitter but they do not). I didn't want to re-paper again as its expensive and time consuming so thought I would just paint over and use this stuff. All I can say is that it is actually a lot of money for the effect it achieves.Firstly you will only notice this when a light or the sun is on it and even then it is hard to see at all. During normal daylight you wont notice it at all. I painted my wallpaper with three coats of white to make sure there were not patches. I then purchased a cheap thin emulsion to mix this with so that it would show up more. The first coat was actually not too bad but still not what i would say noticeable. I then purchased a second packet and went over it again, sadly all this has done is actually cover up the first coat so now I cant see anything at all. £16.00 is actually a lot of money for something that has no effect all. I wish really I had just invested £30.00 on a roll of proper glitter paper. Bear in mind also one packet only mixes to 1 litre of pain which is hardly anything at all. Therefore a full room would cost about £60 £70.00 without the paint. When mixing I would say add the paint to a small amount of emulsion at a time. if you pour it on the top of a litre of paint it will only mix to the top of the paint and not the bottom.Personally not impressed at all. Invest in a proper paper which is probably what I am going to have to do anyway now. Not worth the money at all.

Subtle 'white' glitter effect, and I mean very subtle... but nice
The media could not be loaded. Don't expect a full on glittery wall that sparkles like a Christmas card. This is a really subtle glittery effect that is so subtle you could easily miss it.We used a quality silk emulsion and did two coats on the wall. Then, we had approximately 1.5 litres of paint left and poured the whole pack in and stirred it until fully mixed.Using a medium pile roller we did two coats of the glitter paint in thin layers. Initially it was difficult to tell if the glitter was on the wall, especially as it was silk and light was reflecting on it hiding the effect.Once it had dried we stepped back and couldn't see anything! Feeling disappointed we started to consider buying a silver glitter to redo... then we looked at an angle in the sunlight and caught a glimmer of sparkling light... Nice but extremely subtle. We waited until it got dark and put the ceiling light on, excited to see the results... nothing! My daughter then got her phone out, turned on the torch and HEY PRESTO the wall lit up sparkling away. The next step was to experiment with lighting. Using a halogen spotlight, the bright light really brings the white glitter to life.Basically, don't expect in your face sparkling. This white glitter is extremely subtle but with the right lighting has a lovely effect. My daughter is now really pleased to have crisp white walls that glitter when she wants them to.

Fabulous 😁
It's recommended to use one 500g pack per I think it's 2ltrs of paint for a five percent sparkle. Well that was just not enough sparkle for me so I bought extra and added to paint. Think I added a little much as paint had a slightly sandy texture when I came to paint my bathroom wall. Initially I was a bit disappointed but it says to buff the walls with a white scourer and oh boy! I love my sparkling wall 😁 sometimes it looks more sparkling than others it really depends on the light. But basically this is a very good product will definitely be using again in my bedroom. It is very important to buff the walls and this can be done with a drill attachment if covering a large area or you just don't have much energy, but set drill to a slow setting and only lightly touch the wall and keep it moving ! One pack will give you a light sparkle but two in 2ltrs give and awesome sparkle. It's also best to buff as soon as the paint is dry don't wait til the next day. However this is dependent on just how much sparkle you want. I used on a light grey and it's very impressive but think a darker colour would really show this colour glitter off. Unfortunately it doesn't photo great.

Dazzlingly beautiful
These paint crystals have made my bedroom room magical. I am surprised my husband didn't complain but he loves it too. I started off painting the walls. It looked so lovely I just wanted to add it to everything. Aside from the walls I have used it in gloss paint to do the doors and skirting boards. My bedroom draws/wardrobe have had the glitter make over, My fireplace also had a lick of glitter paint. I also added it to metallic paint to revamp an old mirror. Everything now sparkles. I used the suggested ratio of 100g to 1.5 litre paint, however I can see how using less would also be sufficient enough to sparkle your walls I would advise for best effect use silk paint, not matt. I found the more sheen the paint has the better the sparkle. The same applies with wood paints, ie It works better in gloss paint than it does in satin paint. The only bug bear is that it does need a nice lighted room to see the sparkles. I first used this glitter in my hallway. The natural lighting in this area is not the best and I can barely notice the sparkle (unless light is on). I have since done my bedroom which has loads more natural light and I love it.. It sparkles Perfectly. I tried to get a good photo but being as I used white paint it doesn't photograph well to show the true extent of It's sparkling loveliness. This one around my light switch you can see sparkles. I would highly recommend this glitter

Sparkle
The media could not be loaded. Nice subtle sparkle effect that adds a bit of glamour to the bathroom. Mixed in well with a tough washable paint for bathrooms. Think it would also work well in other rooms so will definitely use it again with future decoration projects.
