Item just arrived, it's light, compact, easy to assemble/disassemble, and really, really powerful (I am in fact impressed of its power, I don't have carpets but it did a pretty good job on hard floor and on my fabric sofa). There's a quite evident plastic smell during the use, like somebody else wrote, and it's obviously not pleasant, but, all in all, it's a <£30 vacuum cleaner and it does very well what it is suppose to do. This was pretty much what I wanted, and it it looks quite good, but When I shook the plug there was something rattling around inside! The screw for the unconnected earth pin has worked loose and was just flying around inside the plug! Not Good! Whether it could have shorted out is a moot point, but it shows a lack of care and attention.The second problem is that the extension tube used to make it into a floor vacuum cleaner fits into a hole in the top of the body, and this is a very tight fit. Getting it in was a struggle, but it proved impossible to remove without loosening the screws of the body to pull the pipe free, No problem for me as I am an Instrument technician and my tool-kit is always close to hand, but, of course, a real problem for someone with weak hands. The problem is the catch mechanism, which doesn't work very well and needs lubricating or revision. Mine is now greased and works OK. - Just some thing else that could have been sorted if they. had looked at the finished product. 8/10Having said that It Works, and cleaned the cat fur off the curtains a real treat!

Wonderful purchase. I live in a 1-bedroom and don't have too much room for storage. This is pretty sturdy and does the job quite well. It is not wireless, but the cord is pretty long and it is all right for smaller places.

Worked ok for a little over 5 months, then something went wrong within the motor. A burning smell and sparks out the vent were enough to knock my opinions about this hoover down.Up until it failed the hoover was pretty good for a small flat with hard floors. For some reason the hose attachment is mounted upside down, meaning you need to bend the hose back on itself to actually use the brush attachments. This seemed a complete design fail and would be trivial to have addressed during manufacturing, but it doesn't seem possible to fix on the device itself without snapping things that are better left unsnapped..Without the mechanical failure I'd probably want to give it three and a half stars - it's pretty good for the price, easy to empty the dust compartment and hose attachment design decision aside a satisfactory vacuum cleaner.

Opening the box revealed a good selection of tools and quality of build that would put most hand held vacuums to shame. The unit is robust when easily assembled into a full upright and the 800W motor gives it 200W more punch than a full size vacuum I also own but, ironically, that may be this unit's Achilles Heel.I first saw this item demonstrated a while back on a TV shopping channel and filed it as a 'To Get' item. It never registered at the time though, that it was demonstrated picking up rice grains and other similar substances - but significantly as it turns out, no fine dust or powders.I bought the unit primarily for cleaning around a fireplace, for use on tumble dryer filters and the like and occasional car use. Unfortunately the motor was so powerful that the filter all but clogged in less than a minute due to its size. I suspect a less powerful motor and a collection bag might have solved the problem.The other problem with the filter is that it takes up a LOT of space within the collection chamber limiting its capacity somewhat and had to regularly get the big vac out to clean the clogged filter! That soon got chucked back in the box, replaced with a sheet of paper Kitchen towel clipped between the collecting chamber and the suction unit - which gets binned with the contents after each use and works just fine.800 watts of power also produces a LOT of heat - equivalent to a fan heater on a low setting, resulting in the carry handle becoming very warm after a short period of use.Notwithstanding the above, if you accept that the unit is a 'Use once and empty' device, you will not be disappointed and it might just get you round a small caravan or chalet in one go as an upright - and lets not loose sight of the fact that it is a lot of kit for under 25 quid.Maybe I expect too much.PROS: Good Design, Well Built, Comprehensive ToolsCONS: Filter, Low Capacity as a result, gets very warm quickly

Not very good at all. Gave away to a charity shop. After taking a long time to arrive I used the hoover once and it struggled with upstairs. It was fine on wooden floors and is very light but I have carpets upstairs which I found it didnt pick anything up unless I used the long pipe attachment which took me forever. It was also quite noisy and got quite hot after a while. Id say that if you are only using on wooden floors in a small area then it would be worth it as its very cheep but other than that it is going to struggle.

This is a great little hoover just what I was looking for , If you are looking at this for a car or something similar then this is ideal for the size it has good power , I have a little hand held that you charge but this is a lot better , it has a decent length cord , not that this matters but its a great colour , For the price I paid I'm very happy with it .

Bonjour.Cela fait quelques temps que j'ai ce matériel et il fonctionne vraiment très bien. On se sent mieux sans les sacs à changer qui coûtent la peau du Q ! Par contre, le bras de l'aspirateur est un peu court, ce qui oblige à être assez penché en avant.Bon set d'accessoires.Une étoile en moins pour la prise anglaise, ce qui n'était pas précisé dans le descriptif produit au moment où je l'ai acheté ; peut-être que maintenant c'est précisé... Je dois le brancher avec un adaptateur uk/fr mais ça marche parfaitement de toute façon.Bonne journée !
