the microSD card slot has a VERY slow read/write speed
well, from the photos and the price I expected it to be heavier and of a nicer construction. When it arrived i was surprised about how light it was and, as a result, it felt quite cheap.Performance: the SD card reader is fine for small files like sub 100mb, but I am only getting write speeds of around 15mb/s. if you put an SD card reader into the USB next to the microsd card reader, you get double that speed making the SD card reader pretty useless imo. IF you unplug the device and plug an external SD card reader straight into your PC, you get double the speeds again, so for large files (10gb+) I'll likely just plug a different SD card reader straight into my PC. quite disappointed.otherwise works as it should, just an easier way to plug things into my PC, but rather disappointed that the transfer rates are literally half my normal speeds.

Quite dissapointing
Maybe I'm not well informed.Maybe I don't know what this is really supposed to be used for.BUUUUTYou can't use the Type-C port to connect to a external display nor to charge the MacBook through the hub.

For IT/AV Specialists, This Is A Need.
Most people won't need this, but for those who work in IT and AV, take heed!: - The hub arrived in a nice box with a decent set of product information. - It's of a decent quality and feels robust enough. - The data transfer rate is fairly good on each port, even when all in use at once. - The USB-C charging point works well enough, although I would plug the charger into its normal port and use this as purely a hub. - It's small and lightweight enough to store in a laptop bag easily.I would definitely recommend it!

Basic and lightweight but works fine
This is mostly plastic and quite light weight so the cable tries to drag it off my desk. However having got it into a position where it'll stay it does look quite neat sat at the back edge of the desk and it's much more convenient than bending down to find the ports on the main PC.All ports work as they should and appear to transfer data perfectly well. It probably wouldn't cope with devices needing much power but for thumb drives and other low power stuff it's fine.

Small and sits well on a desk
This is a very useful piece of equipment. It has a power input to keep those more power hungry peripherals happy, and it looks good too.I have used various USB items with it and there have been absolutely no problems with everything working as it should.

Who needs seven USB inputs?
Seven - not five, not six, ladies and gentlemen, but seven USB C inputs lined up nicely all in a row. And how many of them are charging points? you might well ask, young sir. The answer, sir, is zero. They are all yer good old fashioned transfer ports.Who needs that many on the go?There is a lot to like about this little hub - the 45 degree presentation angle is unusual and handy, and it's really well made and engineered. But it is very expensive, and most people, as I've said, will never need that amount of inputs at one time. For a very niche market, then, which might explain the high price.
