Did the job perfectly
Bought two of these in an attempt to stop the smell from the main sewer wafting through the house from time to time from the kitchen and downstairs bathroom outlets. They were easy to fit and I checked the water was flowing before refitting the drain cover. The doors automatically open when the water pressure builds up behind them. It’s been a few days now and I can honestly say there have been no odours whatsoever. Wish I’d bought some of these ages ago.

Works fine as expected
used this as part of a special dog toilet I built in the garden so it is used vertically. Works fine as expected. Would use these for all my new Wc's, especially when someone told me their story of a squirrel that came up the loo!

The only thing that I worried about was the size (metric ) as I knew my drains were from the 60s ( inches) would the item fit but it was all OK. It is in place and working.

Would give 0 stars if that were an option. Rats chewed through it within 2 days

It works !
Simple to fit, looked robust and has proved itself to work. A rat had crawled up the sewer pipe to the toilet outlet and because the plastic connector at back of toilet was a translucent white the rat seeing the light decided to nibble away at the plastic fitting to exit the sewer pipe. This device with it’s spring-loaded flap blocks any light from entering the sewer pipe connection yet allows waste matter to flow through when flushing W.C.
