Hand Riveter, Tacklife HHR2A 33cm Heavy Duty Rivet Gun
Unfortunately this failed after 100 or so rivets. It no longer gripped the rivet shaft. It was easy to use before the problem. My guess is either the grippers wore out or got too clogged with aluminium. No apparent easy user friendly fix.Updated - Tacklife has been very good at supplying a replacement for the item without quible and have been very courteous and efficient in doing so. Excellent customer service. Hence uprating since original review. The actual product is easy to use. I have other Tacklife products that have been reliable and good value so after this good experience I would buy another Tacklife product as they are good value and the company stand by their products.

Dependable solid riveter, designed well that will stand the test of time
Having put this riveter through some quite demanding work, replacing about 250 4.8mm rivets in three garage doors I have to give my solid approval of this sturdy tool that even catches the pins. The jaws are hardened, and with the correct size nozzle (various sizes included) and slightly adjusting nozzle in/out to ensure jaws can grip rivet it simply didn't go wrong. The first riveter I've had that didn't break in five minutes. Highly recommended.

Lightning Deal with a heavy duty rivet gun
Was hesitating to get a normal or heavy duty rivet gun, but bought this quality product on a Lightning Deal!+ simple design and easy to use+ versatile with 5 different sizes nozzles: 2.4mm(3/32"), 3.2mm(1/8"), 4.0mm(5/32"), 4.8mm(3/16"),6.4mm(1/4")+ ergonomic hand riveter with soft grip handle: effortless to work with+ pin catcher with collecting bottle: safe and convenient.I love its one-piece design as nozzles are built in so I don't need a storage box to avoid hassles. Only negative is it doesn't come with rivets but generally I'm a happy man!

Use a bigger nozzle
The tool is sturdy and well made but for half an hour it was a nightmare to use. Initially I used the nozzle which was the closest in size to the rivet shank I was using. That was an error: the operation of the riveter distorted the shank so that it became jammed in the nozzle. After a repeat of this mistake and taking forever to remove the rivet shanks, I used a larger nozzle and had no further trouble. The shank not only remained loose in the nozzle, it fell through into the collection 'bottle'.

Easy to Use
Purchased recently and used for only 4 rivets so far, but does the job well. For those unfamiliar with cold riveting, such as myself, don't twist the rivet in the tool, just hold the tool straight and open and close it a few times until the shaft of the rivet snaps. This applies sufficient tension to the rivet to flatten it in position and the shaft (no longer required) will then be removed.

This is a really good pop rivet gun
This review is for the pop rivet gun in the top of the third photo. I had a job that needed some 6mm alloy pop rivets. My original pop rivet gun was always a bit of a pain to use, but it wouldn't fully close the 6mm pop rivets - there was nothing like enough leverage to break off the shank. I ordered the TackLife riveter on Sunday evening and it arrived 9am on Bank Holiday Monday - brilliant. The rivets I used had a 3.2mm (1/8") shank. The die I needed was the second largest supplied, so I was hoping the riveter would be able to fully close the rivet and break off the shank. It did so with EASE, I was surprised by the amount of force it could generate. The shank was ejected into the plastic container after a couple of pumps on the handles (unlike my old one where they always get stuck). This is a great tool, it looks well made and has more capability than I was expecting. The steel seems to be European quality and doesn't have that Asian feel to it. I'm hoping it will last well. The dies can be changed without any tools. An 'O' ring stops the die from unscrewing as can be seen in the 3rd photo. The other dies are all stored in the end of the shank container. You can adjust the stroke and when the dies start to grip the shank. This is a useful feature, particularly when using large diameter rivets. The only fault I can find is the description of the die sizes - they are all marked one size bigger than they actually are. The one marked 3/32" (2.4mm) is actually 1/16" (1.7mm)1/8" (3.2mm) is actually 3/32" (2.5mm)5/32" (4.0mm) is actually 7/64" (2.8mm)3/16" (4.8mm) is actually 1/8" (3.3mm)1/4" (6.4mm) is actually 4.3mm

Looks and feels like it will last.
Bought this riveter after a good deal of research. Was looking for a compact hand riveter primarily for use on a boat to set primarily monel rivets. Anyone who uses monel rivets will know that they are probably the hardest material to set. This riveter sets 4.8mm monel rivets with relative ease, it does not feel as though it is near the limit of its capability. I suspect the user would struggle to set a 6mm monel rivet, with the relatively short arms being the limiting factor. Rivets made of other materials should not be any problem at any size.A plus point for this riveter is that the grip pressure can (and should) be adjusted to prevent them slipping. Read the (badly translated) instructions BEFORE use. A drip of oil on the working parts eases the operation.Overall I'm expecting this strongly built tool to last well and continue to provide good service.
