QWIRKLE TRAVEL SPIEL - SCHMIDT (German Version)

Qwirkle is a brilliant game in whatever form it comes, but this is great for when you have a smaller space to play on, not only for travelling. It has exactly the same amount of pieces and they're still painted wood but they're a lot smaller, only about a cm square, and quite a bit thinner, making them easier and lighter to transport.I have this and the large version and this tends to come out more often for ease of use.Two minor points - the instructions on this German set are in German, French and Spanish only, so if you don't speak any of them you need to know the rules already or look them up online, and the pieces are harder to balance upright, because they're so thin they have a habit of falling over more easily. If you like to keep your hand completely hidden from other players it's useful to use a scrabble rack or similar. But a superb little version of a classic game.

We bought this on a recommendation from a friend and we love playing it ! It is a simple idea, but can become more involved and challenging the more it is played. It is very attractive to look at and the zip up bag is sturdy for travelling.

Great game. Really easy to play. Light and packaged well so ideal for taking on holiday. Only critism is that as I am slightly colour blind the colours used on the tiles are difficult to differentiate so I have had to mark the tiles with permanent markers so I can recognise the differences. This is the only reason I have given 4 stars. For those who have perfect colour vision there will be no problem.

Bought this as a replacement for a damaged full size Qwirkle thinking it would take less space to lay out on a table top & be more portable to take on holiday or to take to friends for games nights. It does & it is! The tiles come in a nice lightweight padded zipped pouch tiles instead of a thin bag as in the full size set & the tiles are quite small (think Scrabble tiles) compared to a full size game version that has a bigger block, more like a cube, which is also much more tactile - so that's the only loss in this travel version. This pack comes with rules in German but I knew this before I purchased & that I could download the English translation online, which made it the best price option & delivery was swift.The only other slight disadvantage in owning the Travel set is that currently it's not possible to extend the game with the 2 extra 'Trio' board options as they just don't exist for the travel version for some odd reason. Hopefully that will change at some point in the future & give travellers chance to ring the changes too?

Firm smooth tiles are a delight for all ages to handle. A better deal than (non-travel) Quirkle because you can play this easily at home and it takes up less space in your home.

Loved the compact carry case. We played using scrabble tile holders and was great for a 4 hour ferry crossing.

It is a nicely made, compact and light game that does not loose anything in the travel version except maybe weight and chunkyness. The painted wood tiles are very light but still have a good feel.It would have been nice to get the rules in English but I knew they would not be before I clicked the button. The rules in fair English can be found with a search engine.

On ne voit pas le temps passer avec ce jeu de société cool et facile à comprendre. Pour tous les âges,avec des suites de couleurs et symboles à réaliser. Très sympa.

Wir sind es gewöhnt viel Zuhause zu spielen und daher sehr wählerisch was Spiele anbelangt. Dieses hat uns aber begeistert. Jede Partie verläuft völlig anders, jeder Spieler findet seine eigene Strategie. Knifflig, spannend, kurzweilig und leicht zu erklären. Dank dem kleinen Format passt es leicht in jede Tasche und darf bei uns nie unterwegs fehlen.

Très amusant, demande réflexion et stratégie, permet de maintenir l'esprit en éveil.
