Product Description The eraser pencil with brush is invaluable for cleaning up the white paper surrounding an image, including feint grid lines. Drawings can also be made lighter with the pencil eraser which is particularly useful when creating reflections. It can be sharpened to any shape using a craft knife giving you more control than if you had cut slivers from a plastic or soft eraser. The brush is an additional feature which means you can gently sweep away the waste, ensuring that your drawing stays as clean as possible. Box Contains 2xPencils

Almost perfect eraser.
As a working artist I really mourn the passing of the typewriter pencil eraser. There are several erasers out there that try to do the same job as the typewriter eraser but fail miserably. So I was intrigued when I first saw this. It looks like it would do the same job and to a certain extent it does. It is brilliant in working with soft pencil work as well as charcoal and pastel. It can be sharpened in a good sharpener although I prefer to use a craft knife as the sharpener gives it too sharp a point and the rubber is a little to soft to cope with a really sharp point. This eraser does its job well and also has a little brush on the end to brush away the debris so you don't have to use your hands and risk smudging your work. There are 2 pencils in the pack and I am still using the first one after about 9 months of use. I would heve loved this product to contain two pencils with different densities of rubber, the rubber as it currently exists and a more dense harder rubber which would allow you to use the pencil on so many more surfaces. For that reason I deduct a star from a good product that could have been a great product.

Best of the bunch for coloured pencil, in my opinion
I've tried several of these pencil-style erasers for my coloured pencil work and I like these best because they work well and don't leave stains or marks on the paper (like the pink one I tried. It left pink streaks on my paper that wouldn't come off). They are also gentler on the paper than the Staedler rasor (another similar thing) that I have.I sharpen with a scalpel. I tried a pencil sharpener but that was a big mistake! It didn't work (and the pencil sharpener hasn't been quite the same since). You can sculpt a nice sharp point with a scalpel, if you are careful. It doesn't magically remove coloured pencil completely, (I haven't found anything which does that completely) but it will mostly get rid of small lightly applied slip-ups (like if you'e gone over an edge slightly), and will lighten dark areas to create highlights. I also brush it over larger areas to dull down pencil strokes where I've deliberately applied them to show (like fur or bird feathers) but I just need them to blend in slightly.

Precision erasing for small spaces
Wasn't sure originally (this is my second purchase) what I would use these for. But it's so nice to rub just a small bit of pencil mark away. Codeword puzzles have small squares to enter letters of the alphabet. When your early tries prove to be wrong, they need to be erased. Larger erasers remove neighbouring square contents too. Also, because these are being sharpened, the dirty ends are removed, and the remaining rubber never dries out because it's safely encased in the wood.

Not fit for purpose!
The idea of having an eraser this small of removing small mistakes is great, but the actual item fails in a wobbly eraser and the inability to get a sharpened point... A cheap sharpener works better to sharpen this pencil than my Faber Castel three holed one?? But even so there is no point at all.As for erasering its hit and miss and is basically too soft to fully be worthy of its job.

They do not sharpen easily at all
These turned up very speedily. But one draw back to them. They do not sharpen easily at all. They are made from some fake wood and knife or pencil sharpened struggle to cut it. Rubber good though when you can get to it.

Good for both charcoal and pencil
Great for rubbing out tiny areas. Works well for both pencil and chatcoal. Not cheap but cant draw without them.

Always useful for graphite, watercolour pencil drawings
A must have for pencil drawings whether with graphite or erasable coloured pencil to remove errors or lighten areas with the brush.
