Work Well, Good Value
I admit I didn't really expect much from these but bought them in the hope they would perform as well as the non slip roll mats I was using.... I am happy to report them do grip just as well if not slightly better plus I get the added bonus of some height which is great for painting or varnishing work pieces.Don't get me wrong you need to be realistic these do hold / stop slipping surprisingly well but they will of course move if you apply enough force and or apply force at the right angle but assuming you are not expecting these to hold like they have been bolted to the bench then I imagine you too will be pleased with their performance. Each cookie / unit has a bit of weight to it which coupled with the non slip rubber coating they really do a good job.For the price paid I believe they are good value for money and so much so I now have two sets for when hand planing or painting larger work pieces.Well worth the price and the room in any woodworking workshop.

Clever little 3rd hand!
Fantastic little item for the workshop for holding things in place (not clamping).I tend to use these under a piece of glass to hold it in place whilst I’m cleaning it (normally one in each corner and a few in the middle to support). This stops the glass from sliding around my bench and gives me more confidence it won’t slide when I’m cleaning it on my workbench leading to a potentially significant injury.Obviously there are multiple uses for these in a workshop - mainly involving holding something and raising it off the workbench, useful for tasks such as edge routing, sanding and painting. You can get needle attachments to assist in painting, but there is no ‘grip’ on the item that is being worked on - so I’ve tended not to use them for this purpose - they also get very messy very quickly - well they do the way I paint!!They tend to act as a third hand for things mentioned above whereby you need a bit of stability when you are using downward pressure such as sanding or edge trimming - obviously it’s not held as tightly as being clamped to a bench, but the magic with these is that the whole of the item being worked on is available to be worked on without clamps being in the way.Since I bought these they have rocketed in cost - I paid circa £8 for four a few years ago and they’ve shot up to double that.Would I think twice about buying some more now that they’ve increased in price? Not a chance - these are amazing and I’d happily get a few more sets today at the heightened cost.

Useful addition to the toolbox
I like these. Worked very well while I was constructing a pelmet. Non-slip surface kept the wood steady while I was painting. Also bought the Cookie Cones but have yet to deploy those.

Great, like an extyra pair of hands
I use these to elevate my work pieces so I can get clamps on them, and to prevent work pieces from sliding around my work bench. They're solid and well built, with a good deal of cushioning, and good grip. Recommended.

A must in my workshop
A good product they do what they are advertised to do within their limitations, they are excellent for sanding.I sand a lot of pine boards which are later stained if you sand a pine board with chips or scrap under them they will dent/scratch, sand them out and these dents show up later after the stain has lifted the grain again but using the bench dogs eliminates the problem. Also just fine for hand routing but if you get aggressive with something like a plane which has more side force than down force they will obviously slip. This makes them no good as CNC router hold downs as there is no down force but they are not advertised for that anyway.I have a couple of sets of these and after 1 years mostly commercial use they are still almost perfect.

Mmmm, grippy.
A real time, effort and surface saver. I use these for holding workpieces while sanding, and routing edges. they're nice and grippy, and protect even delicate surfaces from getting scratched on your bench. I find them a nice height as well. This is my third set, as I needed more; they seem to last almost indefinitely. A quick rinse under the tap keeps the non slip material non slip, after use.Don't do what I did (first time using this new set...) and do make sure they're out of the way of your tracksaw, as they smell horrible when you cut into them. D'oh.

Handy item for the workshop/ garage
Do you do DIY? These are great!I bought a set of these as an impulse buy but I've already had good use from them. You get 4 in a nice plastic tub with a lid that you can keep them in. They are sturdy with a reasonably thick rubber pad on each side. They are mainly for holding the piece you are working on in place if you are sanding etc. The rubber stops it sliding along the bench. They also lift it off the surface so you can get your fingers around the piece you are working on to hold it. Its also handy for painting as the wood you are painting is lifted off the surface.
