Great product, great customer service
These are brilliant and saved me. After trying various positions with traditional ice packs over clothing it was clear I wasn't getting to the source of the problem. My GP after examining me recommended cool packs warning me to be careful of freezer burn, which I always am. These wedges are just perfect and get straight to where they need to be.Once fully frozen they change to a slightly lighter blue - in my experience this is too cold to use without a wrap of some kind. I find it easier to let them warm a little to the point where the colour starts to change back to dark blue and apply without a cover. I tried them in the fridge but the temperature just wasn't quite cool enough to make a difference. They are super easy to clean and the special container keeps things tidy and hygienic. The lid on the container is a little fiddly to click on sometimes but that is needed for it to be secure I think. I can use these with my ointments etc. Just a wipe with kitchen towel for any greasy ointment and then a good soap and wash under a running tap and they're ready to go back in the freezer.I had a problem with one of my wedges after about 2 weeks of regular use in that it sprung a leak. The hole was tiny and on the part where it is sealed. But it rendered it unuseable as any pressure produced blue gel. As this item is exempt from returns on Amazon I contacted the makers by email. Despite it being a bank holiday weekend I had a lovely reply within 24 hours and they dispatched me a replacement pack immediately. They said that leaking is a very rare occurance and I haven't had any problems with the new ones although I don't need to use them as frequently currently.I'm very impressed with the makers and the designer really does have a passion for helping people. These wedges certainly gave me relief and I believe helped me to heal my hemorrhoids. I'll be keeping these in a corner of the freezer in case I need them.

Easy to use, no mess, best product out there for this
Don't normally write reviews and I shop on Amazon a lot! This product is brilliant though and I'm thankful it exists or I'd be trying to apply ice packs to my butt which wouldn't work well. Instead I have these. It's very simple to use, just keep these in the freezer and pull a wedge out which is just a well-shaped gel pack and stick between the cheeks. It freezes the area for a good 10-15 minutes which seems a good amount. I put it in outside of underwear so it's close but doesn't touch skin. Wash off a bit after use and back in freezer. I can't see how anyone can use the icing method for hemorrhoids using other means. This is so simple and easy to use which is the most important thing to motivate you to use the method. Together with sitz baths and more fibre I really hope to keep hemorrhoids at bay!

Not worth your money.
When I saw this I was so happy thinking this is what I was looking for. Well in reality it isn't, firstly the edges of the ice pack is very sharp so it's very uncomfortable to keep it between your intimate bottom area, secondly the ice pack was in the freezer for good 6 hours and only stayed cold for 30 min. Like after 30 min it's not even slightly cold any more. It's a great concept but it's very badly executed. Super disappointed as can't even return this.

Great shape but don't say cold for very long
Great shape but don't say cold for very long. Wonder if a larger sports one would. Soothing though. Recommend Epsom salt baths too.

Great product but I have some advice for the manufacturer.
First of all let me address comments that suggest that this method of treatment is painful. Yes there is an initial discomfort when you apply the gel packs but it last no more than 90 seconds as the body adjusts to the temperature of the product. In my experience however after that period the treatment is soothing. I will admit that when I purchased the product I thought it might be just a gimmick but I was in a lot of pain with two large hemorrhoids that were not responding to the creams and suppositories I was using.I was just in so much pain I thought it was worth taking a risk and I am really glad that I did. After using the product for around three days the ice packs had vastly reduced the hemorrhoids in size making them manageable and without any pain. I do a lot of sitting with my job and so I have at least one session a day to keep the hemorrhoids at bay and I highly recommend the product. If you do purchase them you should however be aware that this is not a walk around product as they will fall away after while.I recommend lying on your side for half an hour a day which works for me. The downside to the product is that they do not remain cold for very long and the plastic lid on the containers becomes very lose. As long as you sterilise the gel packs before you put them back in the freezer as I do there will nevertheless be no hygiene issues. That being said, for the sake of your dignity and in consideration for others you wouldn't really want to put these things in the same freezer as the Sunday roast. This is why I purchased a small tabletop freezer which I keep discreetly hidden away. My recommendations to the company who produce this product is to look at developing a small plug in freezer unit allowing them to be kept frozen independently. My recommendation to you? Give the product a try, Okay they are a bit on the pricey side but the relief they give form pain and having to constantly apply cream makes them well worth it which is why I purchased two of them.
