YopokkiKorean Rice Cake with Hot Sauce (Spicy Topokki) 140g

Good flavour and texture - a little chewier than the fresh version but still very enjoyable and a decent substitute if you can't get it freshA little pricey for what you get, the cup is only about a third full, but its tasty enough to make the splurge for an occasional treat

Not too spicy but a lovely kick, I can't handle spice and this is enjoyable. The rick cakes need cooking in boiling water, I did mine in a pan. It didn't absorb the sauce but it's not supposed to. A lovely chewy rice snack! I added the sauce to the packet once the rice was done with a tiny bit of hot water. My only problem is that it's expensive, it would be worth buying the multipacks instead.

Wanted to try… these were very spicy little bit to spicy but the rice cakes were very nice

Cooked them in the microwave for the recommended time and the rice cakes were very hard and chewy put them back in and they didn’t soften, didn’t thicken either. Taste was nice but they are overpriced for what you actually get, should be about £2.

I followed the instructions in the reviews not on the pot.Put the rice cakes in boiling water for about 3-4 mins, drained them and then adder back into the pot with a splash of water and cooked for another 1-2 mins.Whoever suggested putting cheese on them, I salute you, followed your suggestion and it was even more delightful!

The product is fine. As good as a store bought microwaveable product can be. I heated it for 3 minutes in a 700W microwave and let it sit for 5 minutes. It was fine. Okay. I never finished it fully. I agree with other reviewers. The rice cakes did not absorb the sauce at all. It was chewy, but there was a bit of a hard chew to it. I got sick of chewing and chewing and having to dip it in the sauce all the time as the product did not absorb the sauce, that I threw the rest of it away. It was not to my liking unfortunately.

Really yummy. Not too spicy and a little sweet. Very tasty. I made it as per one of the reviews here - boiled the rice cakes in water and then drained and cooked in the sauce until warmed through. Will buy again if the price drops again!

I really loved this, really chewey lovely flavour and as someone who can't really handle spice it was delicious! I didn't make it in the microwave but in a pan to cook and it was lovely! The only downside is the price... Way too expensive
