I love these glasses! Heavy base with very thing glass. And somehow, they are sturdier than they look.

I have wine glasses, champagne glasses and tall glasses by them and love all of them. Went through several brands of wine glasses and all of them had some impurities or imperfections. But then after getting this brand I found perfection and beauty. So when I ordered these glasses I knew they would be perfect. Only downside is they don’t take to knocks well. since they are so thin they don’t really stand a chance if another glass or something runs into them. I don’t fear breaking them in hand or when giving cheers with other glasses but they aren’t as forgiving to accidents like other glasses are. Well worth the money. They look superb and classy.

I will say the glasses are beautiful and feel high quality, but half of the glasses haven't even lasted 6 months. The rims get chipped very very easily in the dishwasher. I'm very careful with these since they feel very fragile, but I guess that isn't enough. I would recommend hand washing only if you get these.

Great hand feel. Nice and heavy. Perfect gift for a man or any whisky / bourbon drinker. They look very dainty and thin. Not the case at all. I thought I knew they were crystal but seemed a little plain. I was completely wrong. The clarity of the crystal and solidness if the glass is perfect. Not too fancy but can be. Purchased as a gift for a man with larger hands and he tossed all his other double d fashioned drink ware ( except the etched crystal ones I purchased him as well. Very well packed, not a single one arrived broken. Arrived in a box 3 times the size of the box they came in. The Schott Zweisel logo etched on bottom. Top rack dishwasher safe.

I've been looking for glasses like this for some time and couldn't find quite the right thing. These are really wonderful. First, the crystal itself has incredible clarity, almost like a pure ice or something. It seems very strong, yet is rather on the thin side, which makes them very elegant. They are impressively hefty in weight and quite oversized in the hand. The pictures and description on the website don't do these glasses justice. For the price, they are an excellent bargain and I'm going to see what else this manufacturer offers.One other point that may be important to some people: The sides are pefectly straight (perpendicular) and don't slope at all like some double old-fashioned glasses (or at least mine). When I first opened the box and realized this, I thought that I might not like them. But it actually makes them all the more modern and elegant.

Put your crystal in the dishwasher without fear. It never dulls and survives many a bump or tumble. But don't try dropping it on tile.

When I first read the reviews, I was worried about how thick the walls of the glasses would be. I had previously bought the Collin’s glasses from these guys which had very thin walls… It was fine for those glasses, but for old fashioned glasses? … I’m not entirely sure. But lo and behold, the walls are thicker! Thick enough to relieve my anxiety but not too thick such that all I’m tasting is glass instead of my drink.I can understand the frustration people are having with these glasses, but to be fair, thin glass can only be so durable, no matter how many innovations. Be extremely careful with these glasses: always hold the glass by the thick base, try to avoid drinks that are hard to clean out of the glass, and always wash the glass at consistent temperatures (cool water is best). The glass was pretty for your drink—and at a pretty good value at that—so be nice to it. ;-) For days that you just want a drink without all the baggage, make sure to have a regular clunky old fashioned glass.

Love these glasses. I just started drinking scotch a few years ago and had some shallow whiskey glasses from crate and barrel, but wanted that old school, mad men feel to the glasses. Looked everywhere for plain glasses that were tall and substantial. I wish these were a little wider but the crystal had a fantastic feel and weight and they look very clean and classy. The size and shape of the glass also let’s me breathe in the smell of the scotch while sipping which enhances the entire experience. Kind of like a decanter for wine. I am considering buying another set. Definitely recommend this purchase.
