Love the bookworm
The glowing friend is definitely what sells this set. The story is okay, but it seems to lack a bit for me. The pictures are cute and there are a couple good messages in it at least. The book is not very durable. It has a thin binding that I don't think is going to last long around little kids. This is the type of book that we usually have pages falling out of pretty quickly. However, it is really nice that it is accompanied with a friend from the story that you can hold and play with. The bookworm is very cute and the light is a really good glow. You give it a little squeeze to turn off and on, but it can be a little difficult to do. If your child is very young they will probably need some help there. You can squeeze it once for a strong glow and if you squeeze it again it has a more faint glow. One more squeeze turns it back off. The texture and size of the glow worm is great for young children. This would make a cute gift for a young child and I think it would be fun to collect a set of all the friends.

My Preschoolers FAVORITE!
I ordered this set in "Bookworm" which comes with a small light up Bookworm character and a hardcover book called Stink or Swim. I don't know what it is about this set, but my four-year-old son just loves it. He loves it so much! He has slept with the Bookworm character every night for a month now. It is easy for him to turn on and off on his own - squeeze one time to turn on bright, one more time for lower light, and one more time to turn off. It also turns off automatically after a period of time. The batteries are already included - you don't have to do anything. The book is a cute and hilarious story about how Bookworm, who is a bit of a scaredy cat, helps out a skunk who gets stuck in a log. This experience helps him to learn bravery. The worm characters in the book have the funniest facial expressions! The book is just the right length for a fidgety preschooler. I can't recommend this gift set enough!

So cute!
I got this for my preschooler, who loves books, bugs, and glowing things. The story is helpful for kids who might have a ton of energy and need to find ways to “chill out,” so to speak. He’s autistic and has more energy than I can handle! There’s a few exercises in here, like a dance break (wiggle dance) and deep breathing. Great for social emotional learning!! Overall, the story is a bit redundant and not the easiest to read. He lost interest multiple times throughout the story, but there were some funny parts he loved. The glow bug is a little tricky to turn on. He needs two thumbs to be able to the press the belly hard enough (and he has amazing fine motor skills). For that reason, I recommend it for ages 3+. Younger kiddos will love the toy too, but might need help turning it on. Hopefully it softens up with use!We added the other two stories to his Xmas list!Hope this helps. 😉

Adorable Bundle
We ordered the Wigglebug (Orange) and Bookworm (Green). The Wigglebug is superior in every way. The glow feature is very easily activated and the paint quality is excellent. Our kids actually fought over the orange bug. We might have to get another. The Bookworm (Green) we received has a big flaw in the paint on its face. Additionally, the light up feature on the Bookworm (Green) takes a fair amount of pressure to activate because the tummy is deep and squishy. Our 2.5 year old twins cannot activate the Bookworm (Green) on their own. We have to help them with that one.The storybooks are short and cute. We can't wait to read them to our toddlers tonight as they play with their new glowing book buddies.

Adorable little book with a friend
I know our Grandson will love this book! Our 14 month old Grandson loves books as we have been reading to him since birth. Blueberries are his favorite breakfast treat and this little wigglebum loves them as well. The book is small size with bright colorful pages, sure to catch his attention, also thick enough has he loves to turn the pages when we read! The light up little friend is a perfect companion while reading the book. A quick squeeze can turn him on or off The book include other friend which I am sure we will be collecting as well. Books open the world to even babies so start early, even while little ones are still in the womb to develop that love of reading and the magic of books!
