I was not optomistic but I as wrong!! It worked great!
My 1996 Rayco stump grinder is in need of a new coat of paint. I had been using my angle grinder to strip old paint and rust but that was slow going and it's hard to get into cracks and crevices.I bought this kit thinking it was worth a try but I was not very optomistic.Today I put the parts together which took maybe three minutes, stuck the tube that sucks up the sand in a bag of black sand from Menardsfor $12, and fired up the pressure washer. My pressure washer is a Honda, 3000 psi.It took at most five minutes to blast down to the bare metal on the section you see in the pic. The other pic is the other side that I had already been grinding on, to show you what I took off with the sand/pressure washer.I did this section and another one a bit bigger and it used up my 40 pound bag of sand. I plan on trying some mason's sand which is only $4 a bag to see if that will work as good.I am a do-it-yourself guy and I endorse this kit 100%, especially at $30.

total junk
i bought it because it was cheap and i have a few small projects that needed some sand blasting. i was using a 3000 psi power washer and black blasting media. it would not suck the sand through the full length of the hose. using only 2ft of hose it managed to suck up a little sand. the instruction don't tell you that the sand inlet needs to be on the top side, if it is on the bottom, water will run down the hose every time you pause the blasting and plug it up. i was trying to remove the paint from a patio chair. half a bag of sand and i was only able to clear a spot about 2 square inches. don't believe the videos showing how fast it works, total lies. this is junk! not even going to waste time to send it back, its going in the trash. the only good thing, I'm saving the fittings for my power washer gun.

Works, But not worth it.
If you desperately need to sandblast something this will work, Although Its a mess. It goes through 50lbs of sand ever 5 minutes, and for rusty metal takes about 5 minutes per 4 sq inches. It would be perfect if you lived on the Florida beaches.Pros,#1 - Shoots sandCons,#1 - Only works with bone dry sand,#2 - If the project is made of steel It will flash rust Immediately.#3 - Makes a MESS sand everywhere.#4 - If you want to reuse sand it will take about 3 hours of cleanup + sifting.#5 - Will most likely cause silicosis. Not bashing this product just saying that it would be easier just to take your project to a sandblasting shop.
