Purchased these because my docking station has two display port connections and the monitors I purchased only have an HDMI port. These work perfectly and better than the last display port connection I had. I definitely recommend to anybody who has a home office setup with multiple monitors.

Inexpensive, small and works perfectly.
I have an HP EliteBook 820 G3 that doesn’t come with HDMI port but DisplayPort only. Using the cable DisplayPort to HDMI, I don’t get the sound to the TV. I bought this one from Amazon using an HDMI cable and it displays beautifully with sound included. The dongle is well built with the connectors fit tightly, small and compact. I’m very happy with this little device, it serves the purpose well and I can use any HDMI cable to connect my laptop to TV or monitor while traveling. I did try USB-C and HDMI adapter but it didn’t work, only this one does. The best thing is it works on my macOS Catalina 15.5 also.

Works in Windows 10 (21H1) with nVidia drivers on RTX DP for a multi-monitor setup!
Satisfied customer, especially for the price!I chose to knock off one star because the image quality is a bit grainy compared to the same monitor's same HDMI cable plugged directly into the one HDMI port on the same RTX card instead of on a DP port through this adapter but it doesn't look terrible and I feel confident that Windows display settings adjustments would probably allow me to sort that issue out so I'm very satisfied with this purchase! After spending several days fighting with and troubleshooting a brand new PC system build running a new installation of Windows 10 and nVidia drivers with another brand (and much more expensive) DP adapter that had all 3 other types of monitor jacks (and an audio out jack too) that I couldn't get to be detected by Windows no matter which monitor I used or which monitor port I connected to I decided to buy 2 different types of DP adapters to try (also different brands), one DP to HDMI, one DP to VGA, and both of these single port adapters are fully detected and work as expected on the exact same system that the other brand of 3-in-1 DP adapter did not work with in Windows 10.I just got this adapter today so I can't say how long it might last but after several days of fighting with a 3-in-1 DP adapter of a different brand with no joy at all I now have one HDMI monitor plugged into a DP port with this DP adapter and an VGA monitor plugged into another DP port through a totally different brand and model of DP adapter with the latest nVidia driver loaded in the latest version of Windows 10 fully updated with a dual monitor extended desktop setup on my brand new PC build system and it all finally works. So a huge thumbs up to this DP adapter for solving several days of frustration from a different adapter!

DAC, supports dolby, good for converting OTA audio from TVs.
I have a Panasonic large flat screen TV which outputs audio only on HDMI/ARC and Optical/SPDIF. My HDMI/ARC is taken as it runs the sound bar, so I needed a DAC w/optical to supply my old style wireless headphones which have a 3.5mm stereo plug. I previously purchased a regular DAC which did not specify Dolby. I could get audio to the headphones through the TV optical port to the old DAC, but only Streaming (Roku) or from the DVD player. OTA (local broadcast) stations received through an antenna were not passed through the old DAC. The culprit was Dolby. Apparently the TV switched the OTA audio to Dolby and the old DAC did not have that support. This unit is very small, but does the job. I have seen many reviews from those with Samsung and LG that complain of the same problem. This box fixes that. Just plug in the optical cable to one side, and plug in the stereo jack from the headphones to the other side and connect power and you are done. I now get audio on all sources and stations. It also sounds a bit better than the old DAC.One thing to know; an A/C plug is not provided, only a USB cable. If you have a USB port handy, you are fine. Otherwise you will need to dig up a cell phone or other USB to A/C, 5V, 1A, converter plug. I had one lying around, so I was OK. The USB Cable provided is just 2' long, so keep that in mind, as well. A pic is attached of an example of a USB A/C adapter that may be needed. The listing information is pretty complete and you get what they promise. It pays to read. I can't speak to reliability, but there isn't much to go wrong. Do use a surge protector if you use an A/C adapter, it is so small, it can't take much of a hit.All in all, very satisfied. It solved my problem and did what it said it would do.

I needed these for my job
So I actually got a new PC at work and the only outputs were Display port. So I needed these asap for everything to work. So I ordered these myself otherwise it would have taken a week if the boss ordered them. They were cheap enough and worked like a champ. No issues what So ever. Buy them
