Plug and play. Driver installation was not required, my windows laptop recognizes the chip and was ready for use. Over all it is a good cable

The cable didn’t work, on checking the device manager it says the PL2303 driver doesn’t work and to check with the supplier. By default it should have picked up the default prolific driver that’s already present in windows. The error I get is “this is not a prolific 2303, check with the supplier”

Bought this to use with Cisco devices for console access. Installation was simple. I have not had any problem when using this cable. My old cable used to cause blue screens. This cable has not caused any issues. I would recommend and buy again. Quick tip, like most of the Cisco console cables the RJ45 end on this would not be hard to break the clip. I keep a coupler over the RJ45 end when I carry it around. Would have been better if they had put a snag-less clip on it.

Product is completely useless stopped working in 1 week and return period was of only 10 days so unable to return.Don't buy this product
