Solved my indoor RV fly problem!
O…M….G… I have been plagued with flies coming inside this season due to the early heat I supposed. I’ve never experienced such a fly problem in my life. I have tried every type of fly shatter imaginable, but they all break as I probably kill 100 flies per day which equates to 500 swats as I’m not very good at it. I also bought some of those sticky things to set on the counter and around the house to catch them and catch them they did, but didn’t put a dent into the problem. Then I received this little gem.I thought it wouldn’t work worth a flip as it is tiny and the suction didn’t seem all that much. I doubted it would catch as many flies as the stickie things, but I set it up because any fly it catches is one less I have to swat. The instructions say to NOT put it by a competing light source, but I did. I placed it right beside my little Aerogarden that sets on my counter. I placed it so the top of the fly catcher’s light would be about even with the light on the Aerogarden because I can’t live without my Aerogarden and that is where the majority of the flies congregate because of the light. It is also hanging close to the door and many flies that come in the door go straight to the fly catcher and get eaten immediately. It was stunning. The flies flying under my Aerogarden light just zipped right over to the flycatcher and got sucked in immediately. Just zip… zip… zip… and they were gone. Although I just saw it catch about 30 flies in a few minutes, I still had no expectations of it completely eliminating my fly problem. It’s been a week now and I have yet to have to swat a single fly. Flies do still fly into the RV we are living in for the summer, but after just a bit, they go to my Aerogarden and then they fairly quickly checkout the light on the bug catcher and ZIP! They’re gone. It also got rid of all the fruit flies that were coming up out of my sink drain. We’re having an insane mosquito season due to the extreme TX heat, but I haven’t had a single one come inside and bite me. I assume SOME have had to come inside when we go in and out of the door often. If so, the bug eater got them as nobody has been bitten inside the RV.We are in love with this little darling and ecstatic that we purchased it and ended our fly problem. I intended to buy more of them if it worked fairly well, but it has been unnecessary as this single one is getting them all. I highly recommend this baby if you have an RV. I assume it would work well in a home as well and intend to try it there when we return.

Working below expectations
I'll explain why I'm giving 1 star to this product, everything began way below my expectations to say the less, I turned this thing on the first night on my room and it trapped nothing (even though there were some mosquitoes flying around the room), moved it to the living room the second night (given it's closer to the backyard door thus hoping it would catch something) and it trapped a couple of mosquitoes ("well, at least it's not a total waste of money" I thought), finally moved it directly to the backyard entrance the third night (not a completely outdoor area, just a section of the backyard that's well covered by the roof) and it caught around 3 or 4 mosquitoes along some moths, nothing impressive given the backyard is where all the nasty mosquitoes I was hoping to get rid of are coming from and it should have trapped a lot more, After that, even though I was a bit disappointed, I decided to give it a last chance the fourth night, so I turned it off during the day hoping to turn it on again that night, imagine my surprise when I tried to turned it on that night and only saw the fan working and no UV light... I thought "are you kidding me?... just three days of very low usage and this thing just stopped working???" so I tried to turn it on again this time inside the house and for some reason the UV bulb came up but guess what? it suddenly turned off again just to start blinking after a few seconds... and that's how it is "working" now... a blinking UV bulb and the fan... this is so frustrating!!! how come this thing only lasted three days? and the worst part is it would be more costly for me to return this to Amazon as I'm overseas and I bought it to use it in my country, not only it barely lasts three days but also the bulb is (surprise?) NOT REPLACEABLE... really??? I can no even replace it? this is so frustrating... I would not recommend this product from anyone most of all for people overseas like me as if you're not lucky and end up with a defective unit you'll have a hard time finding a way to fix it.UPDATE -------- 2-6-2015I have to put an update to this review as in my frustration of having a defective unit that was still under warranty I contacted Dynamic Solutions (the manufacturer) and was able to speak to someone via email about my case, they provided a solution very quickly which was sending a replacement bulb so I can install it myself (sending the whole unit for replacement would be too expensive for any of us and I managed to disassemble the unit without damaging it which is enough to allow me put a replacement bulb), so I must admit at least in my case customer support was quick and provided a reasonable solution. I'll update this review once I receive the replacement parts next week

Update after more than a month
Had this item over a month now.I added an updated my review because I also bought this item which has great reviews:Aspectek Electronic Bug Zapper, Insect Killer, L, SilverThey have both been running together for 2-3 weeks now in my garage. The Aspectek had such great reviews I wondered if the Dynatrap DT150 would still catch anything.Well....after 2+ weeks I can safely say that the Dynatrap is still catching a good number of gnats and mosquitoes even with the Aspectek within 6-8 feet of it.Both of them are on 24/7 and both continue to catch gnats, mosquitoes and moths. The Aspectek seems to zap and kill some of the smaller, tiny black gnats whereas the Dynatrap seems to be catching more mosquitoesOverall I'm happy with both and will have them both running to keep those bugs in check and reduce the number of bites I get this summer !I keep it running 24/7 as recommended and I set it down in a corner about 3-4 feet from my water heater and about 12-18" off the floor. I figured the only other source of CO2 in my garage (when I'm not working in there) was the water heater so somewhere in that vicinity would probably work well. I picked a dark corner under a table. So far it seems to be catching most of what is flying in during the day and then trying to camp out overnight and wait for me to provide a tasty snack. Well, not so fast you little blighters :) I guess the light etc is too much to resist when its dark and quiet in the garage overnight. Ha !Right now its Spring time. The real test will come in the next 2-3 months when we have the ~80F+ consistent temps in SoCal. I'll probably post an update at that time. So far I'm impressed - it is pretty effective
