Too delicate to be a tactical flashlight. Too expensive to be this delicate.
I have had five of these flashlights in the past several years. I use them professionally so they get used every day. They work great for a while and are VERY bright but after some time the power button fails and there is no way to fix or replace it and the flashlight is junk. If they last a couple years I'm OK with this but my last on failed within two months. I dropped it from 3 feet and the power button failed. Company didn't return emails. So much for a five year warranty. Wont be buying another one.

Highly Recommended from a current LEO
I have been using my Klarus XT11GT for about 3 months now. I am a LEO, assigned to patrol. I use this thing everyday that I work. The fit and finish on this light is excellent! Mine isn't showing the first sign of wear. I keep mine in the Advanced tactical mode, which gives you the Highest output and Strobe only. It disables the side button as well. This is one of the main reasons I bought the light. If you are scanning with this light and someone rushes out from cover at you, switching to strobe is not only easy it's intuitive. I love the set up of the light.Battery life is excellent. And like I said I keep this light in High output / Strobe only. I usually use the light all week, and then charge it over the weekend. Battery has never went dead. I do like the fact that I can charge the battery in the light, awesome feature, and that is mainly how I charge mine. Seeing the light go from red to green, give me confidence that the battery is charged and won't let me down. If you are a patrol officer and decide to get a light of this size, get one that takes 18650 batteries as this one does. They are super cheap, awesome batteries. I keep two spares in my patrol bag. Also be sure to buy quality batteries and keep them in a case.I do not use the pocket clip on mine, because it goes into my holster (Legion Arms Polyamide holster 14.99 on amazon, also a great buy, has been in use on my duty belt for 6 months, still rocking!) However the pocket clip seems to be very sturdy and the quality you would expect.Huge thumbs up to Klarus, will buy another!

A very good single cell light
I have had two Other single cell (18650) Klarus lights that have held up very well. A friend was so impressed with one (that I kept as a backup ) that he asked to take it on a trip. That was a year ago. I bought this as a reliable backup light. I have had very good luck with this brand so far. I will re-post if and when any of them fail. This has a strong high beam rated at 2000 lumens and while I do not have a meter to prove it, it is clearly brighter than a four C cell Duracell 1000 lumen light. It has both a rear tactical switch and a side switch which can be programmed. The modes are too complicated to describe but it is good that the side switch can be shut off since I don’t like these. The beam is very good with no rings or lines. It is a cool white with a distinct green tint at the lower luminosities. The full beam seems free of green.Impressive light. If it holds up over time it is worth the cost.

Overall great light!
This was my first Klarus product. My 1st rechargeable flashlight I purchased was a fenix RC11 magnetic‑charging flashlight. The Fenix RC11 was only 4.5 inches in length and delivered a maximum 1000 lumens. In comparison, the Klarus XT11GT was a little bit longer and bulkier but put out an impressive 2000 Lumens. I switched to the Klarus because I was looking for something that was durable and bright. I use these flashlights to inspect freight at FedEx Freight and I'm often deep inside 60 ft trailers where there is next to little light. I'll admit, I dropped my fenix flashlight a few times and it malfunctioned on two occasions. Both occassions were from only about 3-4 feet off the ground! The manufacturer specified the light should be good for drops up to 3 meters. Apparently they need to beef up the internal components or change the drop range. Needless to say, I returned it to Fenix and they honored the 1 year warranty by sending me a 2nd light. However, as luck would have it, I ended up dropping my light a 2nd time. This time it was past the one-year warranty deadline. Instead of spending another $80 on a light that as failed me twice in 14 months, I decided to research more options. The qualities I was looking for was: the light had to be durable, pocket-sized, rechargeable and bright enough where I could use it in complete darkness all while taking pictures of the freight I was inspecting and also perhaps take it with me on a few camping trips. So far this light has delivered on all those qualities and more! I've even dropped it a few times and it hasn't malfunctioned at all. This light is a little over the top as it comes with advanced options like being able to customize different settings. As of now, I haven't changed any of the programmable settings. I mention this not as a con, but for me, I haven't used these features. Without a doubt, I'm sure other users would like and utilize these features as they would fit various user needs. All in all, I rated this flashlight 5 stars. I've had it a few months and haven't come across any problems or have any complaints. I would strongly recommend this light to anyone!PS- There is a video out there of a guy testing this light's durablility! He smashes a coconut with the bezel. I won't spoil the video, however, if you're interested in this light's durability, this video is a must see and may or may not alter your decision to buy this light! Which reminds me, there's also a pretty agressive-looking strike bezel that you can buy and change out. The guy in the video uses it to help protect the lens and because its badass looking! Apparently, the design of the bezel was changed to make it easier to switch out. Now the lens stays fixed to the light instead of coming out with the bezel. You just simply screw the alternate bezel onto the light and there you have it...it's now a weapon! LOL

Defect not responded to.
This is the 3rd Klarus XT11 I've purchased and they are a great product, but as with any product sometimes they are defective. What makes a company great is its service when there is a problem. Unfortunately the Klarus co. doesn't respond to emails with requests for information on defective products.
