DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!! I was concerned for NOTHING! These books are in a notebook type form, the pages open and stay open easily and the font/color is fine. People are being overly picky. I’m an avid reader, not on a kindle, real books. I really appreciate good paper and a nice cover. This isn’t perfect by any means, but it’s got a nice cover and the information is clear and legible. I finally feel like I can study without having to stare at a screen. I’m old school so I appreciate tangible books, not ebooks. Definitely worth the investment if you’re like me! Good luck!!

The watermark people mention is visible but if you are sitting on a chair or bed and have the book on your lap then the watermark should not affect your ability to read the text much. The watermark is visible in some pages more than others but you can still read the text. I found the book to be interesting and not bland as some people have mentioned. You will get a foundation on how to run projects.

I purchased this guide here on Amazon. I've seen several reviews regarding paper used for this guide. The paper is not thin as indicated in at least one review. Also I did not find the gray paper difficult to read. At least one person mentioned a watermark as interfering with readability. I do not see any watermark when reading the book. The only way you would possibly see a watermark is if you tried to copy a page out of the book. Also, just an FYI.... This is the same color/paper that was used in the 5th edition of the PMBOK which I also have and again I had no issues with readability, etc.All in all this product is what I expected. Getting the Agile Practice Guide was an added bonus!

The background of every page of this book is very gray resulting in poor contrast to the text. It is difficult, almost impossible, to read in some lighting conditions. The bottom of the first page states that the background color contains an "anti-counterfeiting" technology. It also states the paper is gray but it's not, it simply has very tiny black dots printed on the pages. I know that criminals could easily by-pass this "watermark" trick and create a copy. A determined crook could simply use a word processor and duplicate the entire book. This is an annoying and unnecessary tactic that also has to increase the manufacturing cost and raise the price to consumers. If you buy this book, be sure to read it under bright LED lighting.

The PMBOK 6th edition is pretty standard. It is the same quality of printing you would get with any soft cover text book. Unlike the rest of the reviews I had no issues with the black type on grey paper. As someone who regularly suffers from migraines, I found it much easier to read then to look at pages with the glaring contrast between white paper and black ink. If you are truly that worried about reading on slightly muted paper, download the free version from the PMI website. You do get the two standard books for the 2018 exam with this order. Overall exactly what I needed to aid me in studying for the exam.

Pages are grey, but that was not a deal-breaker for me. I can read them just fine, no big deal. Using highlights are also okay. I can complain that I like to write with a pencil on the pages, and drop some notes, and because the background is grey it does not pop out as much as it should. I am glad I decided to purchase despite the negative comments.

Both books arrived packaged in a sleeve but once I removed the sleeve there are 2 separate books. PMBOK is on light grey paper but definitely not a problem to read!!!I ordered this since I study better with a physical book then the electronic copy the PMI offers with your membership.These 2 books are at an affordable price.The Agile book was a bonus for me as I was just interested in the PMBOK.If you want a physical copy of the book(s) buy this bundle.

I wasn’t going to buy this book because of all the bad reviews about the gray paper and watermark making the book a total headache to read. I couldn’t find a medium to get the images on clearly, so I decided to buy the book anyways, just for the pictures. I was shocked to read all the bad reviews, and open the book up, to very easy reading! I have nothing bad to say. I guess, if you don’t have terrible eyes and decent lighting, you shouldn’t have any trouble reading the book. I’m more worried about falling asleep, with all the peaks and climaxes in this epic book! :)
