Better than Samson MS100
Like a previous reviewer, I bought this speaker stand to replace a broken Samson MS100 for my monitors. The speaker plate is nice and big, it easily fits my RPG5. It feels more secure than the previously mentioned speaker stand; having a twisty-tightener thing that doesn't take the skin off your hands and also a bolt that goes through the whole stand. It's quite a bit chunkier than it needs to be though, not as 'slimline' as the MS100, but for something just to stick my monitors on in my bedroom this isn't really a problem. Someone mentioned that the bolt at the bottom sticks out which it does, but it also comes with some flat screw-on feet which negate this problem. They are only small feet though which does make the stand a bit wobbly if you knock it along the straight edges of the base plate, so maybe not good if you have a kids or big dogs running about. Overall though they are great for the money, I almost wish my other other MS100 stand was broken so I could get a matching pair of these.

Just what I was looking for.
After my shelf began to separate itself from the wall from the weight of my monitors I thought it best to invest in a couple of these. I searched Amazon for a cheap, but quality product - and this is where I ended up. My M-Audio AV40s rest upon them sturdily, and you can fit monitors twice the size of them on these and they still wouldn't peer over the edge. Also, they're not overly large. There's a piano to one side of my desk, and a drum kit to the other. With careful placement of the triangular base I could set these up without having to shuffle anything else around. These things are both sturdy and relatively compact. My only niggle is that they arrived without any instructions. It's not difficult to set up, but I did have a couple of strange looking screws left over which I believe are alternative feet.

Such a great speaker stand! I FOUND THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!
The speaker stands were absolutely perfect for me and they have a very strong build quality. They fit my KRK VXT 6's perfectly. If you are looking for speaker stands for your KRK's these are perfect for them or for any other speaker of a similar size and weight. One last thing, like everyone else on here, I noticed that these speaker stands do not come with any assembly instructions which is really bad. So I started to make up my speaker stands as you do and got a bit lost at some point and wondered to myself "What is this part for and where do these screws go?" So I thought to myself... There must be a YouTube video or something out there of someone setting these up? I did a little Google search and found the instructions for these speaker stands *Jumps for joy!*Amazon doesn't allow people to post links... So type this in Google... Adam Hall Stands SKDB 039 - Speaker Stand, then click on the first link at the top of the Google search results then that should take you to the assembly instructions. Once you are on the correct page click the link that says 'Assembly Instructions [188,4 KB]' to view or download the PDF instructions.Enjoy :O)

Good value.
They are good value, sturdy and neat. The base plates on the floor are triangular and 45 cm in length each side of the triangle. They come with spiked feet, or flatter feet, but each one is optional and the user could just put the base plate on the floor without feet.As another reviewer says, there are no assembly instructions but one can soon figure out how to build, but I was left over with some clips that I was not sure how to use.The item is sold as a single stand, so one needs to order two for a pair of speakers.

Missing screw and manufacturing defect rendering it unusable
Missing screw that fixes bottom foot to stand. Top screw hole is defected rendering the use of ANY screw to work. Wasted time, my own resources, for a product that simply will never work. Drills didn't help, they only sheared the heads off screws. No amount of force will let you drill this in.
