I used these lights after my seedlings came up. Whoops! I even only turned on one for about 1-2 hours in the evening. A few of the seedlings got 'burned', even with the light clipped to a stool about 2 feet up. So yeah, they work for an area maybe about the size of 2 24-48 seedling trays. For small grows, they're fine. If you need larger maybe look for the pendant hanging style grow light. The different wave lengths is a nice feature too. Good ban-for-buck if you're not growing year round and only need them in winter or spring for seedlings or small plants indoors.

I purchased/received this on Aug 23, writing this review Oct. 2 and the light has already gone out. It flickers on/off and will sometimes turn completely for short periods of time. To be fair I do use it everyday for at least 10-12hrs at a time. I use it to supply a light source to a Phal orchid and a few succulents I’m propagating. To my delight they have thrived. I really like the product so I will purchase another but the fact that you can’t replace the bulbs knowing they don’t last long is frustrating.

I want to love this light and my plants did get better using the lights but the USB connector got burnt out and one lamp stopped working two weeks after I got it. The seller was great and worked with me to try and solve the problem.But in the end I had to return it and got a new one.

Handy lights to have. They work good for my setup, although the clamp slides a bit where I tried to attach it, as long as a prop it on something it stays put. I think it the surface I was attaching it to was not as smooth it would have stayed. When I rework my area I will write if this improves. The other issue was I thought I was getting two lights, I was surprised to find they are one light, both are attached together so I cannot use them separately as I thought. I would have chosen a cheaper option had I realized. Other than these issues the lights work well.

All my seedlings died while using this light no matter the space between and amount of moisture given to the seed pods. The plants would pop out then quickly burn up. Light seemed well built and did put out a lot of light and others might have better luck with their mature plants so I gave it three stars even though it did not work for my plants. The light was too powerful for young seedlings. The light will go back into the box and my next batch of seedlings will go back to the windowsill.

Overall a decent light. It's main flaw if anything is the switches are a little loose and there was no charger adapter for the USB port; if they weren't relatively quick fixes I might have given a 3-star but it is enough to keep it from 5-star status. However if you have a small setup, a close plug, and a USB adapter this is useful enough to recommend.

EDIT - they broke about a year in. I tried several different ports and nada. Get what you pay for — a crapshoot.Perfect for the price. The clip makes them super convenient. I've noticed my Yucca tree looking much healthier indoors this winter as opposed to last winter when I didn't have grow lights.

I've had one of these for years and it still works. I got a lamp of a different type recently with more ability to do things. It looked great when I set it up but after one day the times didn't work properly and after 6 weeks the whole thing quit. So I wend and ordered more of this type that I can depend on.
