Curve & Flow: The Elegant Vision of L.A. Architect Paul R. Williams

This HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book is top notch with wonderful illustrations and insightful, historical text. A must-read for all artists, both young and old.

Wow, this book really hit hard. The fact that Paul Williams designed homes he wouldn't have been allowed to live in and buildings his family couldn't enter says so much about his tenacity as a human and his commitment to his art. The book is gorgeous on all levels, and will show kids that persistence really does pay off.

What a beautiful story! The focus on Paul R. Williams, new to me, was wonderful. I enjoyed learning more about this famous architect. Gorgeous illustrations and timely message.

As an LA native and fan of architecture, I love this book. The story is expertly told, having the reader fully invested in Paul’s story and cheering for his triumphs. I learned so much about this time in history as well. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful. The dream-like text beautifully supports the "curve and flow" metaphor throughout. What wonderful choices author Andrea J. Loney makes with the way she tells this story - fully confronting the racism Williams faced but never allowing it to dampen the spirit of her subject or her readers. The illustrations are lush and luminous. Highly recommend!

This is a great book for children and old alike. Paul Williams is a brilliant Architect and humble and gentle man. I would like to thank the author Andrea J. Lonely and illustrator for writing this book, so that the children of today, can learn from and be inspired by the work of Paul Williams.
