Energy: Its Use and the Environment

I am not a physics or energy person. In fact, the subject does not matter to me or interest me AT ALL, and I mean AT ALL. I would rather take a math class than learn the stuff in this book. The stuff in this book will be going in my brain and right back out until I have to take my mid-term and final. I'm studying to be an Administrative Professional, why do I need to know this stuff? This book is required for one of my general studies classes. If I could take any other class besides that class that requires this book, I would in a heartbeat. To me, this information is useless and does not interest me WHATSOEVER.This book is hard to read and comprehend. The subject matter is hard to understand, not only because of the book format, but that I do not understand this physics stuff. I was also not expecting the questions at the end of each chapter to be so difficult! My gosh! I wish there was an answer key!Overall, I would not recommend this book to be used for any class. Some people may find it easy to understand and may think it has a lot of useful information, but this book is not for me. That is why I rented it. I figured that I'm not using this stuff in my career, so why buy the book and try to sell it when I can rent it and give it back and never have to worry about it again. I have no further need for it than to help me to (hopefully) pass my class or get a passing grade.I hope you have catched on by now how much I DO NOT like this subject matter. I give MAJOR PROPS to people who are studying Physics and Energy and such. That is a lot to take in and too many formulas for me.

I needed this for school. It is a text book and serves that purpose.

I won't review the book only to say that it is the book I ordered. However, I rent all my textbooks from amazon now. They come in two days and when I am done I get a reminder to return them. I print the label, put them in the box they came in and drop em off at UPS. Could not be easier. Plus, they are extra cheap. Maybe I have been lucky but all the books I have rented have been new or like new condition.

I brought this for the my Energy course. The content is useful for research and simply to get through the course. Though my professor goes off to a tangent, thus this book is the only thing that is preventing me from failing...
