Overall I love this thing. The chain tends to slip a bit. Try to be mindful how much bar oil you release on the bar. To much will cause the chain to slip. However it is extremely simple to operate & correct the chain. Please use extreme caution as the chain is already sharpened & is extremely sharp. The saw is very quiet with no loud roar to accompany its use. Overall weight of the device is great. Roughly 6lbs & very easy to operate. I love it. This is a great purchase for light use around your home.

Easy to use, works well, but does indeed have the problems described by other reviewers. It was a little confusing assembling it because the instructions say to attach the blade to the motor so the chain cutting links appear to be facing in a certain direction, but the picture of the chain cutting links (in both the instructions and embossed on the equpment itself) is so poor it is hard to tell which direction the chain is suppose to be facing; took a lot of examination to figure out which direction was which. Also, this thing really does leak oil like a sieve: the first time I used it I put oil in it, set it down for a moment, picked it up and started to carry it outside, then noticed the long trail of oil on the floor leading back to the large pool of oil sitting on my workbench. I have to store it in a large pan so the oil doesn't leak out over everything. I expected some leakage from the other reviews, and my old Remington chain saw this replaced also leaked but not as bad as this thing does. However, I would still recommend it, it is inexpensive and works well, and I like the automatic tensioner, which is so much easier to use than my old Remington. Just watch out for the leaking oil. I took a star out of the ratings because of the leaking oil.

Powerful chainsaw and weight is light to use when in trees cutting small or big trees. Dislike is the oil leaks out after a few uses. But easy to clean and very sharp.

This saw works wonderfully. True, it lacks portability as it requires a cord, but with only an 8 AMP motor, I can use a 100" three wire extension cord- giving me some flexibility.The 8 AMP motor is plenty powerful- goes through trees like butter- and the 14" length allows me to tackle tree stumps with no problem. The unit itself is lightweight, allowing long use without tiring.The only complaint is the instructions- horrible. Took me an hour to assemble it- should have taken five minutes- but the instructions make the easy very difficult.The price for this was remarkably low- which is why I took a chance on it. Smart move on my part. Excellent tool and bargain basement price. Five stars

By the far the most horrible product imaginable and you will hurt yourself. I returned the first one because it was broken, and instead of giving me a refund, they made me take a second one. I finally broke it out and tried to use it, and it was even more dangerous than the first one. the chain will not attach properly, no matter how many times you check it and tighten everything. It leaks oil over everything and is not safe. this company should go out of business.

It's nice when you can do a job by yourself and not pay someone to do it. Especially when the device doesn't cost a lot. Being 56 is nice that I can still get on the yard and do my own yard work to some extent. My only concern is that the power goes out during a storm and I need to cut branches or tree limbs that are falling that I won't have power. Later I might buy a cordless version of this saw which would be handy. I have two other battery operated tools that I can use for battery backup for the saw. I have a 21 inch self-propelled Works lawn mower and a GT edger trimmer. Both take 20 volt batteries which would be perfect for the cordless chainsaw from works that I will get later. But for now spending $50 on this corded saw was a good investment to clean up my yard with 100 foot cord.

For an electric chainsaw at this price it's almost a no-brainer. It is lightweight and easy to operate. Has plenty of power to handle all pruning and most of the more severe cuts. The tensioner works well. Yes there is an oil issue. It must be drained prior to storage or it will leave a puddle. Not a deal breaker for me.However.........The major issue this unit has is the drive gear for the chain is plastic. It's a pretty tough gear but will strip out. The mfr does not support this part. The so-called replacements seen here on Amazon will not work with this saw. Warranty repair requires you pay the postage to center. So essentially, this becomes a throw-away tool.

Was able to cut down 6 large hedges . The trunks at bottom were over 12 inches and this worked great . Although it went dull quickly, I should have bought extra chains

This product was awesome, I used to several times now on small and large trees, works great. It's light and easy to use and cleaning takes 10 minute with my air-gun.

En lo personal.. muy buena.... ya la he.. usado barias. Beses sin problema alguno .. buena opcion calidad precio..

For under $100 was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Only used it for about 30 minutes but seems like a decent tool. Blade stayed sharp the entire time. Easy to check/tension the chain. Didn't leak oil. Super convenient for backyard use. (Maybe in the woods if you have a generator?)
