Helping me lose friends one neighbor at a time.
Sounds pretty realistic. Very easy to use. Overall, for the price, I am pleased. My neighbor asked me if I heard all the turkeys. I told him he missed a flock of 10. Now he sits on his porch with binoculars every night, while I create sweet turkey sounds. I am quite enjoying this. I may even use it for hunting.

It worked for me as a first time turkey hunter
Bought it before my first turkey hunt EVER...didn’t really know what I was doing out there other than a couple guys showing me how to do a general hen sound on the box. I did one call and 15 minutes later I had a Tom calling me back and coming my way...I shot my first turkey 5 minutes after that! I guess the call worked! And found a 6 point elk shed in the process...what a day!

When the hunt was on the line, it let me down
The call sounds great. Easy to use and the magnet thing seemed absolutely fool proof! That was till i blew my locator call first thing in the morning on the second day of the season and a huge Osceola turkey rattled the woods with a loud gobble about 200 yards away from me! I reached in my vest and went to effortless slide the magnets on the call together and something was wrong! The magnet had pulled out of the top piece of the call and wouldn't go back in place! Fumbling around wit it made a couple of awkward squawks and he was gone! Was it easy to fix when i got home empty handed? Yes a dab of Gorilla glue and a couple of hours to set up and it seems to be OK. Should a hunting product from Primos I put my trust and money into let my down in the woods? No!! How about a little quality control guys. Use some glue! You cost me a turkey and i'll be luck to get another opportunity this year!

perfection right out of the box
I'm not a hunter, well I am, but only with my camera. I am recently disabled, and prior to this I hiked at least once a week with my camera in tow. I now am relegated to just sitting on my front porch. Across my little road is a field, that I often see turkey in … they fly in from their roosts near day break, eat a bit, then go into the tree line that skirts a small river near the field … then an hour or so before dusk, they return to the field. I bought the call just so I could "communicate" with them …. and sure enough, straight out of the box, a few yelps, and calls and the Toms reacted in kind. What a thrill it was for me …. I even had them return the calls in the middle of the day from somewhere in those trees!!! Now, I will have something for my guests to try out as we sit on my old front porch!!!

A first Class Box Call
This is my first box call for wild turkey. I used a slate kettle call my first season and got my first turkey on the last day of the season. This type of call makes it easier to put, cut and cluck than with a slate call. The magnet lid connection makes it less likely to wear out than would a screw (prone to working itself loose in the wood). It's a good looking box call IMO. I bought this for $24.50 which I think is a steal based on the craftsmanship involved in constructing it. I wiped off the chalk and dusted it with rosin to give it a better sound IMO. One more week and I'll get to try it in the woods on those wild turkeys!

Does what it ought'a... loudly!
This is a modern version of a classic box call. The description in the video and advert are correct. The magnetic top stays aligned and allows you to reliably adjust the stroke pressure and sweep. This call can get LOUD if you need it to. It can also be very quiet and subtle with some practice. The gobble band works too. I love to use it to bring in a distant Tom, then I switch over to a mouth call before I pop him.

A must have
Definitely a cool design. I would recommend if you like the old school box calls. I didn't actually get a bird using it though... so I'm not sure if the thing actually works. Then again I drank red bull every morning and had to run home to use the thrown so my season didn't go so well. I really hope amazon allows this review to be posted.

Idiot-proof
Very happy with this call. Realistic sounds and the magnet makes it so you can't mess up. Also comes with a band to make it gobble. Don't foresee needing another box call. 1-Get online and listen to some turkey sounds. 2-Practice making those sounds with this call. 3-Go to the woods and get your turkey bird! Now if it will only stop raining on my days off so I can test it out on some toms!

and when using the call itself produced good sound (especially for a cracked call)
Returned the item as the box call itself was cracked and I was worried it would affect the sound long-term... Refund promptly issued, and when using the call itself produced good sound (especially for a cracked call)!
