OOSSXXSolar Security Camera Outdoor Wireless Solar Powered Wireless Camera with Rechargeable Battery, WiFi Home Surveillance Camera 4.0MP with Two Way Audio

This is a great camera. It has clear definition and great at night also. The customer service is the best I have seen in years. I had a problem with one camera paring with the system. I sent them an email and they sent me an update for the NVR operating system and instructions for matching the camera. I tried it and still did not work so they sent me a new camera.

I needed a wireless solar camera that is compatible with an existing OOSSXX Outdoor Wireless Security Camera System 5.5 Wi-Fi Video Surveillance. This solar camera has nearly the same specifications compared to the existing non-solar cameras. (Two-Way Audio, 130ᵒ Ultra Wide-Angle Lens, 2-Antennas) Connectivity is very good, even at a 50ft distance from the NVR through a brick house. Setup was easy after contacting Customer Service. Their response time was exceptional, within 24-hrs. This camera fits the bill at a good value!

I have had two sets of these. The first got water logged and stopped working. The new set is no unreliable it barely got footage of an intruder. Out of 5 cameras. One caught the back of the guy for a still picture. Terrible night vision. Just not worth it.

I purchased an 8 camera OOSSXX security system a few months ago. The user interface seemed to be written for 10 cameras so I bought 2 of these solar powered cameras to add to the system. They were discovered quickly and seem to work fine.Some things to note: They do not seem able to be able to use the OOSSXX “repeater” function of the other cameras, which would have been nice to allow them to be placed further away from the base station since being battery powered, I could have placed them at the far corners of the property.Secondly, Being battery powered, they want to shut themselves off until something moves in the IR detector’s range, whereupon they’ll wake up and record, depending on how you set them. A typical wired-supply camera can wake up and record when it detects motion visually. Since this camera is effectively hibernating when in shutdown mode it can’t detect visual activity to wake up, but relies on IR detected motion to wake up. The IR detector’s range is maybe 20-30 feet. Something to consider.The picture quality is good and I have never seen the battery “gas-gauge” drop below 3 bars, so the Solar charging seems to work really well, as long as you are not running them continuously, but allow the power-save feature to do its work and don’t set them to run continuously. If you need continuous operation, you should probably get a camera with a wired supply since the solar aspect probably wouldn’t cut it for 24/7 “must-capture“ operation.

Setup is very easy and so is charging for the first time. The software is easy to use giving you good control over video review. For some reason the date is 1 day off and I can't seem to change it.I run 4 of these cameras in a hot-spot configuration. This generally works very well once you wake up the camera to be able to connect to it.Once the battery is fully charged the solar seems to keep it charged as long as it gets at least 4 hours of good sunshine per day.

I've had the camera since July 2022. it is on the deck aimed at the pool. while using the trial cloud storage, i was able to downloand and view videos. Once the cloud trial expired I had a TF or SD card installed and changed the storage settings accordingly. I recognizes the card, however will not store videos on it. Very frustrating. The Cloud Storage icon is flashing constantly like they are telling me to just buy the cloud subscription.

I bought 5 of the solar cameras and they worked fine. Two stopped working maybe because of the weather here in Wyoming (high winds, ice, etc). I contacted OOSSXX with my problem and they told me to check a few things and I did with no success. They quickly sent me two replacement cameras and they work perfect. This company did respond via email quickly to all my questions during the initial installation of the cameras. I was happy with their service.

They are the best out there in my opinion. Solar powered. They reach quite a ways from my house as well. Two way intercoms. I have 5 and will likely purchase more in the future. Had a brand new sxs get vandalized and found out it was ex wife. These cameras saved me a lot of money.

The photo of 4 cameras with solar panels is a lie. You get one and it’s not solar powered. You may as well advertise a stuffed elephant.
