UPDATE: I did find a pen that fits in the pen loop while the notebook is closed; a Paper Mate Ink Joy with a removable cap. I've actually been using this in my purse and have grown quite fond of it.. LOL so I added a star to this review. I'm not sure I would want to spend $18 for it but for the reduced used price I paid, I'm OK with it. **I ordered this as used in the original packaging for $10 - it is a cute notebook at first glance, the cover is nice and soft and I like the purple color. It came with a roll of washi tape with times stamped on it (24 hour format) and an ugly black ink pen (not one of the cute pretty colors as shown in the description) which is perfectly fine with me, I didn't order it for the pen - BUT that pen, or any other ink pen I tried, gets in the way of the magnetic closure and you can't close it! No matter what size pen I tried, it's in the way, and you can not place the pen on the outside of the magnetic closure either. If you notice in the description pictures, you don't see any pics with the pen in the loop at the same time the cover is closed. I ordered this to put my new Hobinochi A6 notebook in and it did fit perfectly but not being able to use the pen loop at the same time I want it securely closed is a major deal breaker for me and I will be returning it. I'm not willing to pay $10 for it and it's definitely not worth $18 in my opinion.

I journal regularly and this time around I wanted to invest more in my journal with a different aesthetic. First off it is a really cute journal and I've gotten tons of compliments.However, it is small so if you're a writer who likes to see your thoughts spread over the pages then this one may not be for you.Still, its a compromise you can make. The latche is perfect and makes the journal feel secure.I recommend it for its style, convenience but again, if u really want space to write then maybe go another route.I love it tho!

Adorable gift, nicer than expected for the price

It’s nice! Honestly, I bought this so I could steal the cover for my hobonichi original avec. It’s a bit tall, but it was still a steal. It’s pretty dang cute, too. The inside wasn’t anything I would use, but still pretty adorable and well priced, especially for refillable.The cover is absolutely high quality.Edited to give this 5 stars. I have no idea what was wrong with me when I wrote this; the cover is awesome.

This notebook is very small and very easy to smudge it is also a pain to keep open at times
