SCYAN X3 Touchscreen Keyless Keypad Door Lock, Non Handed, Aged Bronze

I got this for the sound booth at our church. We wanted to be able to shut the door while people are in the building to keep unauthorized people out of the booth all while giving the people who are supposed to be there the option to get in quickly without having to fumble for a key.A few thoughts:1) Install wasn't too difficult. I like that the handle is reversible so that it can go on a door that opens either way. That did complicate the install a little, but documentation is pretty good. I have installed some other keypad handles that you have to purchase specifically for the direction that your door opens.2) You have to really press and tap around on the screen before the numbers will light up. I have seen people accidentally key in a number when trying to get it to come on, which renders the code incorrect and won't let people in. In retrospect, something with actual keys may have been better for this specific application. If you're just using it for yourself, then you'll get used to what it takes to activate the screen and you won't have any problems.3) There are two gold terminals on the bottom of the lock that are for a 9V battery. You hold the battery against those terminals and it will power the lock in the event that the batteries die. This is pretty clever, and I like the feature. I haven't needed it. If you're rolling around with one of the physical keys, then that would be the easiest way in if the batteries were dead.4) When I first powered the lock on, it was really loud. I'm glad there's a feature to turn off the sound on the lock since it's in a common area.If I had to do it again, I would probably opt for something with smartphone control and a few more entry methods - we did this in our office area and it has worked out really well. However, the lock functions well and I'm not sure additional capability is worth the time and expense of replacing this lock. If you want something simple with keypad entry and also want a key, then this is a solid choice.

I have a shop I need my employees to have access to and don't want to always be making keys. Having an entrance that requires a door code limits access to those with the code and increases security for the things inside. It's been working great since I purchased it. I feel more secure about the shop and who might be going in or out.

Easy to install product. No issues so far would buy again. Only complaint is it’s easy to push the wrong number.

Great looking lock and looks more expensive than it cost. I ordered this to replace another lock where the screws kept falling out. It arrived promptly but I didn’t install it for a few week because I was busy traveling. I am a very handy woman and it was easy for me to install for the most part. There is a little color leaflet inserted in the black and white manual that shows how to install the little brass pins in the exterior handle. Without following these instructions, installation will take a little longer. Programming was not difficult either. I programmed a 6 digit code and the lock worked awesome….for a week. After about a week of working, I noticed that the code was no longer making the beeps when entered. The lock was also no longer mechanically locking. It now operates as a door handle. Thank goodness it lead from the kitchen to the garage. I called Amazon and complained since I couldn’t get a hold of the company that makes it. Amazon refunded my money and I’m looking for another lock again. I don’t know if this was just a fluke and I got a defective lock.

The media could not be loaded.  I didn't install this, I had my locksmith guy do it, he charged me $25. After he installed it, (20 mins)..He said "go ahead and choose a MASTER code". He said "this code will never change". Ok I did, he said, "now choose a CURRENT code", I did. He said "if you want to change your "Current code" for example, if everytime an Airbnb person checks out, you will punch in the MASTER code and THEN choose a different CURRENT code... easy! !Note: the lock always has the same master code. So I chose a simple master code with only 4 #'s that I'd always remember. And the current code I put in my phone and change it every 2 weeks. This is an airbnb property, so when a guest checks out, I just have my housekeeper punch in the master code, then choose a different "current code". Easy ! My friend spent $300 on a touch screen lock and it does the same thing. Watch the video.

UPDATE! First and foremost thank y’all for reading my initial negative review especially the seller and for getting in touch with me. Finally my problem is solved and this lock deserves more than 5 stars.How I wish all others who wrote negative reviews would get in touch with the seller and make things right. So he (seller) took time to walk me through the problem via WhatsApp video call and finally solved it by replacing the front lock only for me. I guess it had something got to do with factory settings. Glad problem is fixed and my door lever doesn’t open when turned up without a code no more.Pros: Sturdy and secured lock, touch works fine and easily accessible when you program the codes right.Cons: Installation is indeed complicated and can be easy if you already know how to change door knobs.MY ADVISE: it’s a secured lock too good for the price, a must have don’t think twice!

I really like this lock. Been having some issues with changing the user codes and the install was a bit challenging based off the instructions given. Outside of those small issues the lock works great fits perfectly for my room and keep in mind you will need 4 double A batteries which we didn’t find that out until install.

I prefer if possible at the visor the light is on,or a list is easy wen we tate an the light is on...
