I wish we got this sooner
Awesome carrier! The bad reviews are way off on this carrier. It’s a shame they are what you see first on Amazon, and not all of the good reviews....The shoulder straps are “bulky” from the padding, but they are very, very flexible and comfortable. And I have no issue fitting under jackets - maybe if it is a tight fitting jacket, then sure, but a normal jacket fits easily over them. I didn’t get this carrier to begin with because we had two hand me downs - a Kelty and a cool mesh K’tan - and I thought we would use the K’tan the most so we also purchased a cotton one too. Now the Kelty- that is bulky! This is ridiculously comfortable, lightweight, and the exact opposite of bulky. For the two K’tans, they both feel far more bulky than this, probably because there is so much fabric wrapped around you tightly. After seven months of not using our carriers because they all overheated our baby - even the cool mesh K’tan - and never being able to get either of us comfortable in any of the carriers, I finally decided to try this carrier. And boy do I wish I had gotten it sooner! This feels like nothing, our baby is literally all smiles in it and it is amazingly comfortable for me to wear too. Our baby is very active, that may be a factor in the K’tans never being comfortable-there was a lot of squirming and the fabric would pull and end up lopsided with the baby being supported by a ball of fabric under one leg within ten minutes of being in the K’tan. The mesh isn’t uncomfortable, it is not soft like the K’tan mesh, but it isn’t scratchy or hard either - not sure what the complaints are about. It is also very well made, the fabric is very high quality, almost a denim-like texture but it is a lighter weight, high quality cotton twill and I can’t see how it could split - not sure what those complaints are about either. I think they may have made some adjustments though since others have reviewed it. The belt adjustment for baby leg spacing is now Velcro - and very secure Velcro, the belt is clipped together to keep it in place around your hips- there is no “slide” as other reviewers have mentioned, so maybe the fabric and mesh have been changed too?Bottom line - this carrier is awesome, it’s lightweight, minimal in bulk, fits our baby perfectly, and doesn’t overheat our baby. Awesome carrier.*update! I found what the other reviews mention as “slides” - they are on the body of the carrier/front - and they are quite poorly designed, they definitely slide, a lot.....but they are not needed to keep baby comfortable, the Velcro at the belt that is adjustable is really to only thing needed. Not really sure what they were thinking with the outer slides...I think this is where the plastic rods another reviewer mentioned are too, but again I don’t have, or see, an issue with them - the are on the outside of the carrier, and in no way that I can see could affect the comfort. Just a little annoying. Although I can see a use for the slides - they open up the leg spacing without having to take the carrier off and readjust the Velcro. It’s annoying that they don’t stay put, but convenient if you want to temporarily get more air flow...my 2 cents

I should have just started this one to begin with
I have a small baby, only 5lbs at birth maybe 10 lbs 2.5 months later. I tried the Moby wrap but it’s a bit complicated and as babe is getting bigger I’m feeling more strain on my back with it. Neither of us like how it squishes baby to my chest, plus all those extra layers makes us too hot. I also have a structure baby carrier, one with the foam seat, which I think is a good idea in concept, but she does not fit in this at all, poor design no support and the instructions are nonexistent. I finally had it and went looking for a good cooler carrier that fit my narrow hip small baby. The Ergo 360 Omni mesh fit the bill. I love that I can adjust how narrow the seat is and it’s very well padded. It is really easy to adjust to fit baby’s needs and the instructions are very easy to follow with zoomed in pictures to see how to adjust. I know she’s comfortable because after going in baby sleeps for hours while I get stuff done. I’ve only been using this a few days and I’m fine tuning how to adjust all the straps so we’re both comfortable. The key is I have multiple ways to adjust this carrier for both our benefit. I will say I am feeling some strain on my lower back but I’ve been carrying her for hours over last few days as I bend and squat to clean house. This carrier is noticeably cooler than my other 2 carriers but it is still warm, I keep an eye on baby to make sure she’s not overheating. I recommend this to a friend with a 2 month old who will not be put down or screams (much like mine) since she is moving and needs her arms free. I’ve been told it’s been a blessing baby isn’t crying and she can get some stuff done. This carrier is this momma and baby approved. Oh and the phone pocket is a great design! Even with bending and moving my phone never fell out of the front pouch. Love the little zipper pocket which I haven’t used yet but seems like it will fit my money clip or a couple small baby essentials like a pacifier.

My husbands favorite carrier
My husband and I use two different carriers. He’s about 6ft- 220 lbs and it works great on him. It sits well on his waist and he’s used it to carry him forward facing after 6 months and facing inwards since he was about 2 months old. It’s comfortable on him and he’s able to get him in and out on his own by slipping him through the top while it’s already strapped on. It’s a great looking carrier, the baby has great leg positioning too.

Great support, a little scratchy
We’ve had the Ergobaby original for 5 years and 3 kids, and it’s literally one of my favorite baby gear items. But since it doesn’t allow baby to face out, I wanted to upgrade so I could be hands free while still holding my very clingy 1 year old who does not like to face inward anymore. I bought a $30 carrier of a different brand in the mean time and, let me tell you, the Ergobaby pays for itself with all the chiropractor visits you’ll never need.I bought the Omni 360, Omni 360 cool mesh (this product), and the new Omni Breeze so I could try them out then decide which one to keep. First off, they all felt equally comfortable to me. The Omni 360 cool mesh has a couple upgrades over the 360 cotton in addition to the mesh fabric. The adjustment to go from rear to forward facing is a slider instead of buttons that you have to undo and redo. The slider is much easier. Also, the cool mesh has a zippered pocket to store the hood rather than an open pocket. The 360 cool mesh honestly feels a little scratchy and I was nervous that it would scratch up my baby’s legs, but he’s been fine and doesn’t seem to even notice. But if you or your baby has sensitive skin, I might go with the Omni Breeze which has noticeably softer mesh. In terms of the airflow between the Omni 360 cool mesh and the Omni Breeze, I didn’t notice a difference in the short amount of time I tried them on. The Omni breeze is definitely lighter and softer, but for the price point of $120 on sale for the 360 vs $200 for the breeze, I was satisfied with the Omni 360 and the price point.
