We like to burn these smudges on our portable fire pit. Love the smell and the long burn time.

Great for getting rid of smells after cooking
I don't use it how it's meant to be used because I don't believe in warding off evil whatever with burning sage. However, I use it after I cook to get rid of strong scents. I put one on a fireproof dish and light it with a torch lighter after I cook. The smoke from burning rosemary is pleasant and does the trick! Especially when you're cooking with fish or hot chili!

Smells great anywhere
We used this at the beach by laying it around the dogs of the fire so it would smolder, not only did it keep the bugs at bay, we had the best smelling fire and campsite ever. I'm sure they work great for a cleansing, but if not at least it will smell good!
