I use this on my daughter’s 4b hair before we shampoo. I leave it on for about 20 minutes, then follow with a clarifying shampoo, and every time I am so happy with the results. Her hair is clean, but doesn’t feel completely stripped. After following with a deep conditioner, and then styling, her curls are maintained. When I don’t use this on her hair, because we are in a rush to complete wash day, I can definitely tell a difference in shine, bounce of her curls, and overall moisturization.

I have spent so much money through the years buying hair products for my granddaughter and none of them compare to Pattern.

I generally like the product but it made my hair feel stiff and hard after a day or two.

I have 4C hair. It’s thick, and it’s long but it’s heat trained. Great if your ends don’t look haggard and you’ve got thick hair to rock a blow out. Not so great when you want to do a more natural look, like a cute twist out. Well I’ve used this product two times now, mostly after swimming when I know it needs some extra TLC due to the chlorine.The instructions say to leave it on your hair for only 10 minutes but I have 4C, low porosity hair. So I need my deep conditioners and hair masks to sit much longer than 10 minutes to even begin taking in the goodness of those products. With this mask, I generously apply it to all my problem areas, in and between my roots to the tips of my hair and edges. I then comb through my hair, since it works for me like a detangler. I then neatly plop my hair up and put it in a shower cap, then sit under my steaming cap for 30 minutes on maximum heat. My hair feels so soft by the time I go to rinse it out in the shower. Now even some of my most stubborn tips/hair ends curl and get little ringlets, versus my twist out looking twisty everywhere but the tip ugh! IYKYK, and now I KNOW. Get this, you won’t be disappointed because it does what it says it does. Treats severely damaged hair, and helps bring it back to its healthy and natural form.

This is what I use when going from straight yo curly hair. I love the way it coax’s the curls out. I have 4c hair and it is extremely important to keep it hydrated. This gives you hair a nice big drink before going natural.
