If you want to remove a stuck camera lens or lens filter, this tool is awesome!I once ruined a vintage lens with another 'Jar opener tool' the ones with the belt.. because it applies pressure in one spot, which dented it and ruined the focus mechanism. This tool however grabs the entire circumference so the pressure is evenly distributed. Its also a very tough rubber so it will not scratch or slip while applying force. So It removed the lens with ease, which had been stuck on the camera since 1950 without ruining the camera mount, lens body, or threads. A must have, especially if you deal with expensive M42 screw mount lenses. Best part is, you can also use it as a Jar opener!!

You would think that when I purchased this jar opener it was for the purpose of opening jars. Nope. It is an amazing tool to remove without damage lens filters that have gotten stuck on your DSLR lenses. Because it is rubber it will not scratch or more your filters like the plastic purposefully built specialized lens filter wrenches. I used this on a tilfen 67mm uv filter that would not budge with the regular rubber mats, straps, hand wrenching techniques. The problem with other wrench's is that they invariably destroy the finish of both your filter and your lens if not done properly. I had just bought this lens online and it came with a frozen filter. Nothing would budge it and I'm not the weakling type. A few twists strategically placed and this was the cheapest and the most effective tool for this job, plus it can be used for many more stuck lenses. It is large enough to fit a 72 mm filter and all sizes below it. All for $8.99 for two! It is truly a steal when they wanted $40-80 for silicone or rubber lens filter removal kits that would do most sizes. My guess is it also works wonders for jars 😁. Great device that saved me a trip to the camera repair store and perhaps $25-50 labor.

I'm all for using less plastic in making anything, but the less-bulky caps on soda and water bottles are sometimes challenging. I'm currently in the youth of my old age and wasn't thrilled with the concession to seniorhood but bought them anyway. I've only used them for beverage bottles but they work exactly as advertised for those. I'm very happy with it, and the 80-something neighbor I gave the extra one to also loves it. They're pretty sturdy, too, I expect them to last a long time.

Very easy to open lids of many sizes. I keep them everywhere and give them as gifts.

construction flimsy/ cheap. would break with any torquing using the item. there is a lip on the silicone lining. makes it difficult to get purchase of jar lids, especially deep lids. was unable to open any of the jars I tried ..when looking for similar item, ensure there isn't a lip on the silicone lining and has a sturdy heavy duty construction

I'm writing this review for a specific group out there that might not think about this item as a solution to their daily frustrations. What group you may ask? Astronomers and astrophotographers? You know who you are!One of the biggest pains we are confronted with every time is unscrewing extension tubes, adapters and rings off and on. Especially, if the weather is cold we have to take our gloves off to manipulate these small smooth round objects that sometimes are only 5-7mm thick. This is very difficult to do, sometimes next to impossible even if your hands and fingers aren't cold.I highly recommend buying a pair so you can grab both sides of the coupled rings with or without gloves - it works perfectly in both situations. You no longer have to use profanity in assembling your gear. - Well, not when it comes to disassembly of extension rings. ;-)Clear skies!

I have a painful shoulder injury on my dominant side, inoperable. So my right hand doesn't have the strength to open hard to open lids. This works well. However, for me in particular because of my injury, it can be a struggle for me to pry these open to get over the lid.

I absolutely adore these jar openers! We had a jar of pasta sauce that we could not open to save our lives, we tried every trick in the book. We bought these and voila! It opened like nothing! We use these jar openers all the time and I honestly would never go back, highly recommend!
