I bought a cheaper model before and had no end of trouble with it. This one just works and the picture quality is fab.One thing to note is that it isn't just WiFi. If you connect it via USB to a computer it will show up as a USB camera.

Not sturdy enough

So, this product is interesting for some who just want to look at small things (like the microlettering on a £1 coin) and relatively robust.However, the 1000x is extremely misleading. When talking about microscopy, 1000x magnification means something very different that what is achieved by the microscope. The most useful thing provided in the packaging is the Micrometer calibration Ruler which tells you how much magnification you are actually going to get. At 1000x setting on the microscope, the captured image will be that of an area just under 2mm wide (the ruler's divisions are 0.5mm). At 1280 px wide each pixel can resolve to 1.5 micrometers. Compared to a 10x objective lens on a old-school microscope, you get a much higher resolution. Obviously if you want to see something in detail (like a red blood cell that is 8micrometers max), you need a lot more resolution (4-6pixels per cell is practically meaningless).[yes, purchased via University for an experiment]

Great for getting kids interested in the small things and the big picture

I was surprised by the quality of the image and also the steadiness of the stand for this microscope. It perfectly served the purpose I wanted it for which was examination of a circuit board. I recommend the microscope！

This machine is perfect for what I required, the zoom is perfectly clear and the back light is brilliant. The availability of photographing the objects is an added bonus, many thanks for this product its a great asset to my hobby. Really happy with this, makes life so much easier having the magnification
