Great Performance
This bit performed and continues to perform great. I have surfaced 5 hard maple natural edge boards on both sides so far and it is removing the material perfectly without burn. Can take 1/8” at a time but I find that going with 1/16” at a time is more enjoyable, probably saves a little time and is easier on the equipment (Bosch 2.25 HP plunge router). Just be ready to clean up some chips! It is great that once the cutting ability drops I need only rotate the cutter 90 degrees and it is new again.

Perfect for my router sled
This is a great router bit for flattening my end grain cutting boards! Super sharp plus the extra cutters will make this last a long time.I would definitely purchase this again if I needed to.

Great for Surfacing Spoilboard or Planing Boards on CNC Router
I ordered this bit to re-surface the spoilboard on my CNC Router. My spoilboard is actually still in good shape however I've had this bit for several weeks and thought I should do a project to try it. I have a 10.5 X 5.5 X 3/4" piece of Red Oak I wanted to plane down to 5/8". This is really to small to run through the surface planer so I decided to use the CNC.The CNC Spoilboard Surfacing Router Bit arrived packaged very well in a nice plastic case with the bit in a zip lock bag and then surrounded by foam. The entire head had been dipped in a soft plastic material to protect it. Took about 2 minutes to remove the coating and you need to be careful, the bits are extremely sharp!I did some research on feed & speeds and determined that 12,000 rpm with a cut depth of .075 at 40 ipm feed rate would be a good starting point for my 2.7 kW water cooled spindle. It created more dust than chips at that setting, so I believe on my next use I will either increase the feed rate or the cut depth. I actually tried to do a video of the cutting. I had just done another video and didn't shut the camera off. When I hurriedly picked up the camera to shoot the cutter I was shutting the camera off rather than turning it on, so not video! The bit performed very well giving a nice smooth even cut. By using all four surfaces on the Carbide Cutters, this bit should last for a great number of cutting hours. I'm very pleased with the bit and IMHO it's a great buy at $79.99

Great cutter for large area surfacing
This is good sized router bit with a 2-1/2" cutting diameter that leaves a good finish on your surface. The router bit was visibly balanced well, which is represented in the way it cuts smoothly and the spindle holding the bit does not show any adverse vibrations. Tool for changing the insert works well. The product arrived coated in wax to protect it while shipping, this was a nice touch.
