Due to my sensitive skin I can only use certain kinds of soap. My go to soap is Ivory soap. Anyone who has used Ivory soap knows that after a couple of uses it turns incredibly murky and breaks apart fairly easy. Wanting to solve this problem, I made the choice to purchase this silicone dish. Normally, I place my Ivory soap inside of a travel dish and carry it with me to and from the bathroom (I do not leave my soap in the bathroom because I share a bathroom). I like the long length of the soap dish and it can easily hold two bars of soap on it. You have to make sure to carry it with two hands because if you use one and your soap is heavy it can fold into itself. Overall, if you plan on using this as just a soap dish or sponge holder and not travel with it- then this would definitely serve the purpose for you. On the other hand, since I use mine to travel to and from the bathroom I have to make sure that I'm really careful to hold it with two hands. Within the picture is the Ivory soap bar and my facial bar. I will state that the product is simple to clean (all you have to do is rinse it off and you're good to go). I have not really noticed a difference as far as my soap lasting longer versus my other regular soap tray however, I just simply wanted something that was more convenient. I wanted something to corral my brush and soap dispenser. This rubber mat is great. It's a challenge to clean because of the ridges inside but not bad. It's sturdy and will last a long time. Would recommend.

I just realized as I'm giving a review, I never got the Silicone Sponge....... I only received the tray, dues the reason why only 3 stars, but the tray is perfect size!!

I've had this for over a year. Overall, it's been great and keeps the sponges organized on the kitchen counter. I used to keep the hand soap on there too but had to move it because any water that gets near it WILL find it's way to the bottom and it will collect there (can't evaporate through silicone!) and get gross.Also make sure wet sponges are squeezed dry before putting them back so the water doesn't collect in the top. The ridges on the top can be a little difficult to clean in-between.

I switched to bar soaps in my kitchen and needed a place to hold the bars off the counter. I tried suction holders that fell into my sink when I used them. Then I found this gem and glad I purchased it. It has rubbered texture inside so the bar does not sit in water to get soft, rather any water drys, the soap bars stay dry and there is room for 2 bars of soap. Perfect for my needs. As this is from rubber, I anticipate use for many years.
