HENCKELSZwilling JA Henckels Vintage 1876 45-Piece Flatware Set, Service for 8, Plus Hostess Serving Set

Not sure if I had a previous review but this is how I feel now:When I first saw the flatware I thought, nice design, good weight and oh my Lord, it's so shiny as my last flatware was silver plate and I was used to that look. I should have boxed it back up and sent it right back. Don't like the luster shine, more I look at it, it looks cheap. But my biggest complaint is that is always looks dirty. I don't have a dishwasher so I hand wash everything. Comes beautifully clean but once you touch it fingermarks all over it and drip drying causes spots. Not pleased the my purchase or the price. It does have the good weight which I was looking for but in my opinion, nothing more!

Halved the thickness - you can now bend with your fingertip.This is the 3rd set of Zwilling JA Henckels Vintage 1876 45-Piece that I've bought over the years. Used to be sturdy, good-looking, dishwasher-safe. No longer sturdy, we'll see about the other two. Keeping because I need cheap flatware (kids lose them). Buy something else - you can do better.

Not as heavy as I expected, but sturdy. Design is very nice. Feels comfortable in my hands.

I am very pleased with my purchase. I have to admit that the Henckels name steered me to the product. I was able to purchase it for a very competitive price on Amazon.Pros:Great designExcellent weight and balanceGood quality materialCons:My only complaint is that when you buy the set, you don't get any extra spoons. As most flatware owners know, you go through the spoons faster than any other piece. I'd like to be able to purchase an extra 6 to 8 spoons and I'm not sure that these are available.

I got my Zwilling JA Henckels Vintage 1876 flatware a couple of months ago and waited to review until I'd put them to use through the holidays. Wow! I've gotten nothing but compliments on how nice they look with my table settings. Yes, they're marketed as "vintage"; but, they also have clean, modern lines too. The high polish finish cleans great in my dishwasher. I've had no problems with spotting or rust as some reviewers have reported. Liked these so much I bought more settings and the other serving set as well. Love 'em. Expect them to last me for years. R

I love the look of these however I am disappointed that they are not heavier as I had suspected they would be.

Beautiful and well made. Added to a set we bought 10 years ago and were so happy to still find this style. The old set has held up amazingly, but with time and moves, we had just lost some pieces. These still look good after many many times in the dishwasher. Even the tines are still straight.

I'm on well water so nothing stands up to that abuse. I have the set of the silver handled steak knives and they look as good as the day I purchased them and they are 10 years old. On a quest for "company" silverware because I'm to embarrassed to use my everyday silverware which is not even one year old and looks like ****** I have decide to purchase the Henckels and use as my "good" silverware. I'm not going to put in the dishwasher so I cant vouch for how that will all work out but since this was so expensive I'm hand washing when I use.
