AlpinaMen's Startimer Pilot 3-Hand Date Quartz, Sapphire Crystal, 42mm

I really like the clean look and easy to read dial. The best part of this watch is that it is thin compared to some other brands, that and it is a reasonable diameter, not trying to win the biggest watch category. Together the thin case and mid diameter dial make it a great everyday watch that works with long sleeves and is generally unobtrusive. The accuracy is very good as it should be, I can't remember having to adjust it over a few weeks. I did replace the band with a leather strap, but that is not a problem with the supplied strap, I just prefer leather.

I am retired so older, but have always been a bit of a tech guy. Switched to Apple computers years ago when I started a new career of a full time photography business and got tired wasting expensive time making the old Windows work. Stuck with Apple and embraced the watch on the second version and have a newer version now.It was cool at first but recently grew tired of being constantly buzzed on the wrist for various things from texts to not standing enough. Decided to enjoy life, not be a slave to tech, and try an analog watch again. Glad I did - except for my expensive Apple watch gets much less use now. Another advantage is I can actually see what time it is just by looking at my watch, not have to turn my wrist just right and hope the Apple watch will turn on its display. I also like my watch inside my wrist which is a no no with the "high tech" Apple.I see from reviews some have changed the band right away as it is too stiff. It does come out of the box quite stiff but I broke it in by bending it back and forth out of the box and wearing it every day and that is no longer a problem with mine, and its a well made good looking band.

This is my third Alpina. I really like the design and simpicity of the dial. Personally I think it looks better in real life than in pictures. There is one thing to consider though, if you buy this. Original strap is not comfortable at all. Thick and material is not to my taste. I replaced it immediately with leather NATO and now I can give this watch 5/5. Maybe you should also order replacement strap also when buying this.

Very nice daily wear watch, sharp design, easy-to-read dial. Strap was quite stiff out of the box, but it's loosening up nicely with use. However the watch let me down when I was swimming in fresh water - although the pusher was in, case back was tight, after a short swim the inside of the crystal had so much condensed water that I couldn't read the time. Sticking the watch in a bag of uncooked rice for a few days did the trick - the insides dried out and it's still running great. Just won't be wearing it in the water...

Classic design and incredible value!

Really wanted to like this watch. So beautifully packaged...very "Swiss".Not sure if this is a one-off or what but it arrived DOA...doesn't work at all. I noticed another reviewer asking if they needed to add a battery to theirs, so maybe it's a thing? For this money, I kinda want to get it and wear it. So, unfortunately, returned it.

This is a great watch that I bought from the Amazon warehouse for a song. It was brand new in the box in perfect condition. The strap requires a long break-in period as it is very stiff but it's fine now after several months. A larger than standard face helps my aging eyes see the numbers clearly. I wear this to work almost every day and it's holding up well enough that it may become a family heirloom. Swiss accuracy and reputation: out-freaking-standing!

Are the pins holding the band to the watch supposed to move and make clicking noises when pushed together?
