Sizing charts are not fully accurate
I am a US shoe size 10.5, and I ordered a Chinese 45 (as suggested) and they were too big!So I'd suggest going down a size to get a snug fit. (Mine fell off quite easily, even with 2 socks on.)Besides the sizing problems, these are exceptionally made shoes.Update: Re-ordered another pair a full size down, but the seller sent me shoes that were only .5 smaller. So yet again, they fall right off! It is very frustrating to order two shoes in a row that I cannot wear.Important!! - Their sizing chart does not include a mm or inches conversion, which upon further research, seems to be crucial in ordering shoes from Asian countries. So for instance, I learned that my Chinese size is a 43, whereas the chart for these shoes tells me I'm a 45, which was way too big. This is because US shoes have wiggle room for the toes, and traditional Chinese shoes should be snug, heel to toe.Hope this helps anyone, as these are actually worth the price and shipped fairly quickly.

Beautifully made
Quality of construction, strong 5 stars. The little tab on the heel is a nice plus, making it easier to pull on the shoes without stretching out the heel. Well made, flexible, the kind of thin soles needed for tai chi (or martial arts). I think I've found my go-to tai chi shoe!Note, these do run slightly smaller than similar cloth shoes of this style - most run large, and I'd say this runs true to American size expectations. Get exactly the size you wear, and I sized down 1/2 size as I wanted them snug and expect them to 'give' a bit during wear. Expect your toe to hit the end of the shoe, unlike how most harder shoes fit -- if you get them larger, you'll end up slipping around in them and that's not what you'll want for tai chi or martial arts.

Pleased.
These are fun! They are supposed to fit tight and that’s hard to figure out from “sizes.” So, here’s the trick:These are actually marked in milimeters. The actual length, inside the shoe, in millimeters is written on the bottom of the sole.Step 1: Get a ruler, regular school supply ruler with a cm/mm scale, and measure your foot. If you will wear them with socks, measure with socks, if without, measure without. Remember 10 mm to 1 cm for us metrically challenged people. You should get something on the order of 250. If you get 8.5, you’re on the inch side, try again. If you get 24 and a half, almost there; multiply by 10. There, not so bad?Step 2. Find a China shoe size to metric chart (Google; it might be in cm, remember the conversion?) For example: CHN45 = 275 mm = 27.5 cm, inside. Pick what you think will fit. If in doubt, shoot small. I backed off 5 mm and that works. They do stretch somewhat, so you don’t have to hit it perfectly and that seems to negate any problems with my sorta widish foot. Quality seems good for the price. The rubber molding to the cloth is a bit messy, but acceptable. What exactly are the materials? Can you wash them? No idea, there’s no label at all. But I’m pleased with them.

Legit and Authentic Beijing Style
These are legit. How do I know? Born and raised (for first few years of my life anyway) in Beijing. If you’re going to Beijing, China for vacay and plan on strolling through the Hutongs and Tiananmen Square then wearing these will give you a legit, authentic Chinese native look.Or, if you’re prepping a Bruce Lee costume for Halloween, these will do nicely. These aren’t the most comfortable shoes in the world. There isn’t much arch support and the sizing, though true to fit for me (10.5 Nike and 10.5 here), with a bit of give in the fabric top.The bottom sole is pretty thin, and while does offer some slip protection when wet, it isn’t thick and nor shock absorbing. The price of these is decent though you can find cheaper alternatives. I still recommend these as they’re legit Old Beijing brand.Enjoy!

I love these
I've got wide feet and these fit like a dream. Bought them for tai chi class but ended up with an extra pair because I wear them EVERY DAY. No arch support and simple design but they are comfy and I can walk miles with no problem. Weird, right?? I like them way better than my $80 trainers. Wish they came in other colors.

2 shoes of different sizes, neither of which was the size I ordered.
These shoes aren't really all that bad, but the two shoes were not the same size, and neither was the size I ordered. As noted in the foto, the right shoe is 260 mm (US size 8) and the left shoe is 265 mm (US size 8.5).I ordered the shoes in size 9.5. That said, the 265 sort of fit. The 260 did not. Just sayin'. They'd be decent (although not great) shoes if they were the right size. Buyer beware.

Disappointing fit
I ordered these shoes for kicking a punching bag outdoors in my driveway. They would work well for that purpose, if the fit was a bit better. I ordered size 41, which is my correct size (US women's 9.5 wide, US men's 7.5). I know size 41 is my correct size because I have other pairs of shoes in this size which fit well. I would like these shoes very well, except that the fit is not quite right. Both shoes are printed with size 41, but the left is a little too big, and the right is a little too small. The shoes appear to be the same size, so I think the fit is due to the way the upper is stitched onto the sole, and how much space was left at the edge. I was disappointed because otherwise, these are very nice martial arts shoes. They have that nice "brand new sneaker" smell when they come out of the package. They shipped from China in 9 days (free shipping for Prime members). The price was good ($15). They come bagged up in a cute plastic wrapper with Chinese writing on it. I have already worn these shoes and gotten dirt on them, so I will keep them and use them for something (maybe slippers, or basement shoes, because I have a damp basement and can't wear regular slippers down there to do the laundry). I will try them out on the punching bag, but I think because of the right shoe being a little too tight, they will not be comfortable for a long workout. The other shoes I have in size 41 are all either a good fit, or a little too loose. I can't really explain why this one is a little tight, unless it is the stitching or the size label is wrong. I wanted to give these shoes a good review, but unfortunately I got a pair that was not quite right.

Kind of fits a US 12
I wear a US size 12 and bought the 45s. They're a little tight but I only wear them an hour or two a day so they're fine. I wouldn't recommend them for all day wear. Nice shoes.
