Key messages to my kiddo in fun ways
Really a necessary book to have before my toddlers first day of school. Recommended by our renowned daycare as well. Would recommend!

Nursery school is a happy place
I got this to introduce our daughter tothe concept of attending school. This would be a good fit for most nursery school environments (play/music/art/snack). The premise is that the child initially is desiring to go home, then by the time Mom comes back the child wants nothing more than to stay. Our daughter is attending a Waldorf School during COVID (entirely outdoors), which there is no book for 😂. At least this looked nice on the display and she enjoyed reading it a couple times.

Nice book for the nervous child
This is a great book for a child thats worried about school. It validates their feeling and concerns of "I want my Mommy". Its story is about a little girl who goes off to nursery with her mom and as she begins she is wanting her mommy. But as she continues to see all the new things school has to offer she slowly stops saying I want my. . . and by the end she says she loved school and wants to go again. My son is very nervous about his first day and reading this book has helped him significantly.

My favorite prep book!
Love, love and love this book! It helped my daughter to prepare for daycare and understand what was going to happen. She loves the book and wants to read over and over, it’s adorable!

I picked out 2 books for my 4 year old ...
I picked out 2 books for my 4 year old granddaughter, who will be going to Pre K this fall. She was terrified at being left there, since she never went to daycare. She takes this book and reads it to her dolls and animals. It has helped prepare her and she seems eager now to go to school.

Okay
We bought this book for our son who had just turned 3. The story in the book is cute, but my son did not buy into it. (Maybe she wants to be in school, but I don't.)Still, the story is simple and I know quite a few kids who might like it.But what we did not like at all was the illustrations. I just thought they looked odd, but my son said that the kid looks like a monster and everything else is ugly too. Well, I would not be that cruel, but he has a point there.

The perfect book!
Great book to read to your toddler before they start nursery school/preschool! I’m so happy my daughter’s teacher recommended this book. My daughter loves having it read to her over and over again!!!

Negative approach
I was looking for a book to show my child what school is like. This book starts with the premise of a child that is scared to go to school and how she slowly overcomes it. I don't read the book to my child because I don't want her to BEGIN to be scared about school. Otherwise, the book has cute illustrations.

Beautiful book
I bought this beautiful book for my daughter (she is nearly 2 years old) in order to help her understand the concept of nursery and also to help her settle there. I believe it helped a little. The books tells how little girl and mum is going to the nursery/school, the showing the mum leaving it and waving to her daughter. The girl then takes teachers hand and going to play. Other pages shows how kids and the girl enjoying the time in the nursery(painting, playing, dancing, jumping, having lunch) and then mummy is coming back to collect her daughter. My daughter who just started speaking a little likes to read this book on her own, pointing at the pictures and saying mamma is back. I think it definitely helped her to understand what the nursery is about. I can highly recommend this book!

It’s not easy writing a good book for children and this is another ‘meh’ one
There are better efforts to talk about this but I still can’t find one that doesn’t have naff over fussy pictures or something that I edit out live when I’m reading it. (Like mummy instead of mom but I think this is an American book)Might just write my own!

Not sure whether I would recommend or not.
The principals behind this book are good but I found it could be a bit upsetting at the beginning. The story keeps referring to the little girl wanting her mum all the time which I don't feel should be dwelled upon so much.

My First Day at Nursery School
My First Day at Nursery School book was ideal for my 4 year old starting school. Turned out he took it all in his stride, so perhaps the book wasn't needed after all.
