A Witty Debunking of Pseudoscience
In a prose that is captivating, witty and often humorous, the author hacks his way through a myriad of pseudoscientific ideas, gadgets, concoctions, etc. in an effort to show how silly these concepts are when measured against hard core scientific scrutiny. I was astounded to see just how many of these pseudoscientific ideas, etc., there are. And I’m sure that the author was just scratching the surface. In summary, I found this to be a very interesting and informative book that was a great pleasure for me to read. And I believe that everyone owes it to themselves to read it.

Interesting but oddly structured
Dr. Schwarcz's final chapter does an excellent job of summarizing the preceding pages' themes, but the book itself reads like a series of unconnected blog posts on an assortment of topics. That last chapter feels like the author's only serious effort at imposing structure onto his collection of facts and ideas. As a result, the book simply isn't as compelling as a should be, given the sober and complex nature of the subject.

Overlap with previous books
Excellent content but multiple articles in this book can be found verbatim in earlier books of the author! This is not the first time this is the case: other of his books have significant overlap. How can a publisher even allow this?!

Some interesting material, but the style is too repetitive
I was hoping for more interesting writing, but it seems that each chapter was pretty similar to the previous one, just the quackery changed.
