Love this scooter, but…
The media could not be loaded. Had the three wheel toddler Radio Flyer EZ Glider before this one, and it worked so well and survived such a battering, that I wanted to stick to the brand as my five year old is transitioning.Likes: it’s cute and helps with the balance needed to transition to a big kid scooterDislikes: the plastic base seems cheap and not as durable as the scooter she had before, so I’m always anxious that it’s gonna break.I’m not 100% pleased in the material used, though it has not broken yet. I’m just not sure this one will take a beating as much as the other one did.

Evidently the Best Scooter Out There for a Wary 4.5 YO
My child fell off his bike once and thus developed a phobia of it. Some of his friends have scooters, and he finds those to be less intimidating than bikes. I would have preferred to get a traditional metal scooter with handle-bar breaks and training wheels, but evidently it is not possible for anyone to make such a product these days without plastering it with ugly cartoon images - I refuse to buy anything that is an outright visual atrocity. Many beginner scooters on the market have two wheels in the front or the back. Two wheels in the front tend to cause steering difficulty. Two wheels in the back tend to cause foot injuries. So, those types of scooters are "out" as well. This Radio Flyer scooter has a very nice, classic design. It is sturdy and easy to steer. The break is not very intuitive, but kids in the target age group aren't all that likely to get up to high speeds on this scooter. My son loves this scooter and is not at all intimidated by it. It isn't the type of thing that he will be using for years, but it should hold up as a hand-me-down item. Also, the price is very reasonable. It would be nice if it had a kickstand or something similar, though. It does not stand upright on its own.

Patience during the handle bar install
Fixing the parts together was pretty easy until I got to the handle portion. In order to attach the handle Tbar to the wheel bar, you need to push in the button to extend the handle bar upwards by at least a notch. I felt this portion wasn’t designed too good. If you push too much, the entire button goes inside the bar and it was difficult to pry it out. If you push too little, it won’t move at all and get stuck. In any case, don’t push too hard and work on it slowly. I used a screwdriver to push it in and it got stuck inside. Took me a while to get it out.Besides the above, my 4.5yr old son loves his new scooter. The previous one he had was a 3 wheeler. He has upgraded to a 2 wheeler.

Easy to build.
Came as expected, easy to put together, and has lasted semi regular use by relatively destructive kids.

Incomplete
We bought this for my daughter’s 4th birthday and upon building it to welcome her with a surprise, we noticed there was five screws missing. Not sure if we got someone else’s return and it was returned incomplete but now we received an incomplete set and now My daughter can not enjoy the scooter. Unfair!

Missing parts
Christmas morning went to assemble but the most of the small parts were missing and what ones were there were loose in the box. Sad little girl
