Excellent all round for household deep-cleaning and for steaming fabrics!
The media could not be loaded.  This is an impressive piece of kit. It’s main purpose is to be used as a steam cleaner. The high pressure, fine mist of steam that it produces penetrates fabric and sterilizes them, so it also kills any nasty bugs that may be lurking – things like bed bugs are becoming more of a problem in some areas where people travel and bring them back in their luggage, pet bedding where flea and mite eggs may be waiting to hatch, and also kills bacteria and fungi. It’s also absolutely brilliant for dust mite allergy sufferers as it quickly and effectively kills them off around the home.I have been very impressed by its ease of use as well. It comes with full and easy to understand instructions, the main body of the steam generator, a spare head for delicate surfaces, a heat resistant glove so that you don’t burn the hand that you’re not holding the head with, and it’s own drawstring storage bag. It also comes with a limescale filter cartridge which you simply unwrap, pop in the water canister, fill up the canister with tap water, click the canister in place and press the ON button. This flashes white until it is up to pressure and ready to use when it stops flashing (after just a few minutes – a bit like my steam generator iron). To steam, press the button on the back of the steam head, taking care not to get any body parts in the way of the steam jet. The heat resistant glove is optional but a good idea as it means you can flatten fabrics out or turn over things like pillows or curtains so that they get thoroughly steamed. You only have to pass the steam quickly over a surface to clean it. It’s amazing for deodorising our dog beds! While the steam doesn’t actually remove dirt, it does dislodge it, so that it’s easy to wipe up. This means it can be used for things like the back of kitchen worktops, shower seals and other hard to get at areas where grime, algae and mould (which can harbour bacteria) can hide. The other thing I am finding this very useful for is to steam clothes on hangers. There’s hardly anything I need to get the ironing board out for now – just pressing turn-ups on shorts really to get a sharp crease. Most other things, I can steam with this and the creases just fall out!I realise that it’s quite pricey at the current Prime price of £349, but I think it’s a great investment, especially if you have a dust mite allergy sufferer in the home. It’s well-made, easy to use, compact to store and not too heavy to carry around at all. In the accompanying leaflet, it says that you can buy a trolley to pull this along with, but I think this is totally unnecessary in a domestic environment. If you were using it in hotels, then maybe. To sum up – five out of five all round from us!

Effective but disappointing in a number of aspects
This is a well built and easy to use machine. You simply fill it with water, let it do its thing, then apply via the steam head. It is designed for fabrics and hard surfaces, and the steam purifies and disinfects. It is not a cleaner per se, but it removes mites, bacteria, etc. I was very keen to try it out on an old rug which I want to have dry cleaned. It was a doddle to use and left the rug without its trademark musty smell. What lets it down is that the supplied hard surface fitting doesn't fit. So I can only use this for fabrics. The hooks/lugs don't align properly. So I won't be able to use it for many household requirements. In addition, the glove supplied is extremely small and didn't fit my medium sized hands properly. When I tried taking it off, it ripped. Poor quality. For this price I would expect everything to work properly. Sadly it doesn't, and the fact I can only use it for fabrics means it's not really as useful as it should be.

Helps to lift hard to remove stains
The whole unit is compact, which makes it easy to carry around by the handle, plus the handy bag, keeps everything confined. There's very little setup in terms of assembling parts, as it comes ready to use, apart from putting in the filter, which was just a case of slotting it in. The instructions aren't complicated either. However, in the overview and features, 6 and 7 are listed the wrong way around. On to using it, the unit produces a lot of steam and quickly. This enabled me to sanitise items without hanging around, waiting for steam to puff out.Due to illness, I have weak hand and arm muscles and the head was too heavy for me to do more than a small foot stool and a cushion. Also, the lead gets hot to touch and where it's stiff, the lead curves in ways that it wants to. This makes it more likely to get in the way, and the heat makes it hard to move. Items are left wet but they dry quickly. The glove is good at resisting heat. In fact, I sprayed steam directly onto it and felt nothing. There really should be two included though, because if I have the glove on the hand holding the head, my other hand gets caught in the steam for objects such as trainers. If I have it on the free hand, the steam rises onto the hand, holding the head. The box says that this reduces unpleasant smells significantly and I'd say it did somewhat help my shoes. Next, I used the head for hard surfaces and the one thing I am impressed with is that it helps to lift hard to remove marks such as grease and glue by rubbing and picking them away afterwards. Where the head is big and rigid, getting into tight spaces is hard. When moving from room to room and swapping plug sockets, it doesn't take the time to reheat itself. Instead, I can just carry on.
