With my wife now working from home, I recently upgraded our home internet to the fiber 1gbps connection and our old wifi router was not transmitting anywhere near the speeds to justify the upgrade. Not only that but I was also was using a mesh connection to boost the signal in the farthest part of the house. After doing some research and reading independent professional reviews, I settled on this router and I was pleasantly surprised. The wifi connection is strong and spans well beyond my entire house, no need for a signal booster anymore. Not only that but the speeds are so much better. I went from about 250mbps download speed to 700+mbps download speed.. So my old router was definitely bottlenecking our internet connection. The user interface is easy enough to use from an app on my mobile device. The initial setup does take careful reading of the guide that’s provided and some tech knowledge, setup took my about 30 mins. All in all I would definitely recommend this router. I have no problems with it since setting up.

One thing I can say is this router is the best I've come across uponed I've used netgear and TP Link for my everyday use but the wifi signal wasn't as strong to reach my security camera in the back yard this router was able to do that for me and I'm happy with my purchase also games that usually would lag for me all that has been eliminated as well nothing but smooth gaming, watching movies, my security camera quality has improved drastically with the signal being perfect. Don't skip out on this amazing router.

This was the final piece for me in a whole home network upgrade (faster ISP, upgraded modem, upgraded router). Set-up online was quick and easy, especially easy for setting up separate speeds. The RGB is a nice touch. I expected a stronger signal strength rating with this and it does not disappoint. The price drop to below $190 was the clincher to jump on this unit.

I have 2 of this model. The first one would not initially connect as a wired Ethernet backhaul, (only wireless, which is apparently the default) but after working with ASUS tech support a simple, but sort of hidden configuration change fixed this problem. The second unit was purchased from Amazon as a new unit, but clearly it was a returned unit sent out again as new. However, it is working fine so far and I will keep it. I do wish Amazon would not send out returned units as new. Both of these units are nodes in my home iMesh setup which is great. (FYI Main router is an ASUS RT-AX89X which will probably be replaced with an ASUS WiFi 7 router next year when the new Broadcom 2nd generation chips have been put in ASUS production units and are stable.

I have had this router for a little over a year now and I really wanted to like it. The past few months it has been nothing but trouble. Bad signal, the range is less than that of a much cheaper model I replaced. The 2G band will not work for more than a day and the 5G signal is worse than the 2G. I have contacted support many times with no solutions. Just all around not a good experience and will not be purchasing an Asus product again.

We had to buy a new router and o was looking at couple different ones and this one was recommended to me. I would say the signal is great for a house of 1500 sq ft. The app is easy to work and the setup was great. I have not had any problems with the router from opening day and will recommend this product and router to the next person in very happy with the way the app works and the router! This was quick shipping also!

This device has made my networking experience lag free. The app and web gui has a ton of security and personalization options to tweak. I was unsure if this would help my spectrum internet but i am completely satisfied with my experience. This even gets updates still! My internet speeds are only supposed to be 100mb/s max and im getting around 115 to 120mb/s with this. How? I have no idea, but i am so glad to have purchased this. Even the lighting effects are a nice touch to liven up the home office a bit.
